Cassie Lang has been in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Ant-Man (2015).  Her next appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was in Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018).  Cassie Lang's latest appearance was in Avengers: Endgame (2019), where she is now a teenager, a result of the five-year time jump, and is shown reuniting with her father, Scott Lang.

It was recently announced that Kathryn Newton has been picked to portray Cassie Lang in the upcoming film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and she will become the hero Stature. Cassie has decades of comic history and has been in dozens of comics. Many of these comics are important to understand the character and may give insight into her future in the MCU.

10 A-Next (1998)

A-Next (1998) by Tom DeFalco, Ron Frenz, Brett Breeding, and Bob Sharen, is a comic that takes place in the MC2 universe. It also introduces this universe's version of Cassie Lang, who uses the heroic alias Stinger.

In this comic, a new generation of Avengers come together and form a team.  Some of the team's members were J2, Thunderstrike, American Dream, Mainframe, and Blue Streak. This series also introduces Hope Pym aka Red Queen, who is this incarnation of Cassie's biggest foe.

9 Marvel Premiere (1972) #47-48

Marvel Premiere (1972) #47 & 48 are the comics with the first appearances of Cassie Lang in the Marvel Universe. They were created by John Byrne, Bob Layton, Bob Sharen, Tom Orzechowski,  David Michelinie, and Mario Sen.

This story primarily focuses on Scott Lang since it is his origin story as Ant-Man, but Cassie plays a vital role. She is the very reason Scott suits up Ant-Man and establishes Cassie's disability that became a very important part of her character.

8 Young Avengers (2005)

Young Avengers (2005), whose creative team included Allan Heinberg, Jim Cheung, John Dell, and Justin Ponsor, is where Cassie Lang began her career as a superhero. In this comic, it is revealed how she got her powers, her suit, and has her chose her now-iconic code-name, Stature.

It also shows her dealing with the loss of her father, who has just recently been killed by the Scarlet Witch. This series almost reinvented the character and set up her future in the Marvel Universe.

7 Young Avengers Special (2006)

Young Avengers Special (2006) was written by Allan Heinberg, and artwork by Micheal Gaydos, Neal Adams, Gene Ha, Jae Lee, Bill Sienkiewicz, Pasqual Ferry, Jose Villarrubia, June Chung, Justin Ponsor, Art Lyon, and Dave McCaig.The issue opens with Cassie talking to Jessica Jones.

Then, we see the events that led to Cassie deciding to join the Young Avengers. We also see how Cassie's relationship is with her mother and step-father, and what she would've done if she hadn't found the Young Avengers.

6 Young Avengers Presents Stature

Young Avengers Presents Stature, by Kevin Grevioux, Mitch Breitweiser, and Brian Reber, spotlights Cassie Lang. It shows her struggling with her powers, and her teammates trying to help her. We also see a couple of flashbacks of Cassie with her father, her mother, and step-father.

This is a great issue for several reasons. Mainly, that's because it gives us a look inside Cassie's head and her thoughts about things going on in her life, and her relationships with some of the people in her life.

5 Avengers: The Children's Crusade (2010)

Avengers: The Children's Crusade (2010), by Allan Heinberg, Jim Cheung, Mark Morales, and Justin Ponsor, is another comic that features Cassie during her time with the Young Avengers. In this comic, the Young Avengers go on a mission to find Scarlet Witch, who has been missing for quite some time. It also features the Avengers, Doctor Doom, and the X-Men.

This comic is one of the most important when it comes to Cassie's history, as it features one of the most defining points in her life.

4 Ant-Man (2015)

Ant-Man (2015) was Scott Lang's first solo series and featured Cassie Lang as a supporting character. The series was written by Nick Spencer, and the art was by Ramon Rosanas and Jordan Boyd. This series sets up Scott's new status quo as a single dad in Miami while running his security business.

It shows Cassie with her father, and showing how their relationship is now that she is older. It also brings back a plotline and villain from Cassie's first appearance.

3 Astonishing Ant-Man (2015)

Astonishing Ant-Man (2015), by Nick Spencer, Ramon Rosanas, Jordan Boyd, and Annapaola Martello. This comic series the most important for Cassie in terms of character development that has been released in the last few years.

Throughout the series, it shows Cassie adjusting to life as a non-superpowered individual, more about her relationship with her mother and father, and a reunion between her and her friend Kate Bishop. We also see her take on a new superhero alias.

2 Unstoppable Wasp (2018) #7

Cassie was featured in Unstoppable Wasp (2018) #7, by Jeremy Whitley, Alti Firmansyah, and Espen Grudetjern. In this comic, Cassie meets Nadia van Dyne, the daughter of Hank Pym, one of the heroes she has a close relationship with, at Nadia's birthday party.

She, along with Vivian Vision, guided Nadia through the party and introduced her to each of the guests. This comic showcases the relationship between the Pym Particle users in the comics, which is something we will see in the MCU.

1 Ant-Man (2020)

Recently, Scott Lang was given a new solo series, titled Ant-Man (2020). Its creative team is Zeb Wells, Dylan Burnett, and Michael Spicer. This series had Cassie as Stinger being her dad's partner, as this was something that was set up in other comics.

We see the father-daughter superhero duo take down A.I.M agents and the supervillain Swarm.  We also learn that Kate Bishop was invited Cassie to join the West Coast Avengers, which is a thread that might be revisited later.
