Ant-Man & the Wasp hasn't even hit theaters, but actor Michael Peña has hinted that a third movie focussing on pint-sized Scott Lang and Hope van Dyne could already be in the works.

Premiering in 2015 in director Peyton Reed's Ant-Man, Mike Rudd's Lang will co-star alongside Evangeline Lilly's Hope van Dyne in the sequel in July. While Kevin Feige has kept plans for the MCU beyond Phase 3's end in 2019 a secret, Rudd and Lilly's co-star Peña teased that we may see a third Ant-Man movie in the not-too-distant future.

Peña plays Lang's best friend Luis and will once again return to the role for Ant-Man and the Wasp. Speaking with IGN, Peña may have tipped MArvel's hand while discussing how he and fellow MCU actor Chris Hemsworth spoke about their shared universe on the set of military drama 12 Strong.

“It's a whole different kind of club to be in, the Marvel Universe," Peña said. "I don’t know if they'll use me for the third movie, I still really don't know. It's cool to make a little bit of a mark on that Marvel Universe and it's kind of a cool club, they run a really cool studio.”

Of course, should Ant-Man and the Wasp fail to score big at the box office, any plans for a threequel could easily be changed. Even if Marvel is eying a third movie, expect there to be a long wait until any announcement is made, as Feige himself has promised that there will be no new announcements about what movies are to come until Phase 3 wraps with Captain Marvel in 2019.

Ant-Man and the Wasp opens July 6, 2018 and stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne, Judy Greer as Maggie, Bobby Canavale as Paxton, Michael Peña as Luis, T.I. as Dave, David Dastmalchian as Kurt, Walton Goggins as Sonny Burch, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, and Lawrence Fishburne as Bill Foster.
