Ant-Man and the Wasp could be adding a big character to its cast: Goliath.

That Hashtag Show reports that Marvel Studios is possibly looking to fill the role of Goliath for Ant-Man and the Wasp. While it doesn't name any actors who may be up for the role, the report reveals that Marvel is currently looking for an African-American actor between 55-65 years old for a character that is simply described as "highly intelligent," suggesting that the role in question is more than likely that of Dr. Bill Foster, aka Goliath.

Should this prove to be true, this would be the second piece of big casting news for the film, which reportedly just added Randall Park as S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Jimmy Woo. Park joins Killjoys actress Hannah John-Kamen, who is reportedly playing a character named Dawn, although that has yet to be confirmed.

Dr. Bill Foster, a brilliant biochemist, was created by Stan Lee and Don Heck and first appeared in 1966's The Avengers #32. His Goliath persona, however, was created by Tony Isabella and George Tuska in 1975's Power Man #24. The character had a short-lived solo series that ran for 5 issues in 1976. Like Giant-Man in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Goliath has the power to grow himself to a massive size using technology.

Filming reportedly kicked off in Atlanta last week, and -- while details have been sparse regarding the sequel's plot -- director Peyton Reed has previously revealed that Evangeline Lilly's The Wasp is set to take center stage this time around. Since Lilly's Wasp recently got her own banner for D23, which is set to kick off this weekend in Anaheim, California, it's entirely possibly we'll get some official news regarding the highly-anticipated sequel sometime soon.

Opening July 6, 2018, director Peyton Reed’s Ant-Man and the Wasp stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Peña and Michael Douglas.
