While Evangeline Lilly's promotion from supporting actor in Ant-Man to costar in Ant-Man and the Wasp has some fans clamoring for a Wasp standalone film, there's at least one person out there who isn't interested in seeing Hope van Dyne get her own solo outing: Evangeline Lilly.

“I like the MCU and I’d like to stay," Lilly said this past weekend at Fan Expo Boston. "But I actually don’t like the idea of a Wasp standalone film, because Ant-Man and Wasp, since the very beginning in the comic books, were always a team. And really, they’re kind of one of the only proper and true teams in the MCU, otherwise it’s mostly a lot of individuals. And I love the team aspect of it, I love watching the interplay between Wasp and Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp. For me it’s the most fun part of the film.”

However, Lilly did point out that there's one instance in which she'd be in favor of splitting up Ant-Man and the Wasp.

“So I don’t love the idea of breaking them up — except if there was an all-female Avengers film,” she said. “Then I’m in.”

In October, at a press junket for Thor: Ragnarok, Valkyrie actress Tessa Thompson cited the Lady Liberators as one of the inspirations behind the idea for a female-led, Avengers-style film, which she, Scarlett Johansson, Zoe Saldana, Pom Klementieff, Karen Gillan and Brie Larson all approached Kevin Feige to discuss. It's also worth noting that the original incarnation of the team from the 1970s did include the Wasp as one of its founding members.

Since then, the prospect of an all-female Avengers film has been at the top of many fans' wishlists, though it remains to be seen whether Marvel Studios opts to go in that direction.

In theaters now, director Peyton Reed’s Ant-Man and The Wasp stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, Tip “T.I.” Harris, Judy Greer, David Dastmalchian, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Laurence Fishburne, Hannah John-Kamen, Randall Park, and Walton Goggins.
