You can add Ant-Man to the list of Marvel movie franchises that will probably return after the Decimation. Michael Douglas, who plays super-scientist and current pile of dust Hank Pym, says Marvel Studios has interest in a third film.

According to Douglas, “there’s been talk” about a sequel to last year’s Ant-Man and the Wasp, but that he doesn’t know much else. He also clarified that he’s usually the last to know.

“There's been talk [about another Ant-Man]... [but] there's been nothing formal right now that I know of,” he said during a Television Critics Association set visit. “They always kind of spring it on me. The first time you hear about it, it's already in its third rewrite.”

Director Peyton Reed has previously shared his desire for a full Ant-Man trilogy, explaining that he has several character arcs in mind that he’d like to complete.

Hank Pym was last seen turning to dust in the Ant-Man and the Wasp end-credits scene, yet another victim of Thanos’ Infinity Gauntlet-powered snap. There are rumors, however, that Pym will appear in the upcoming Avengers: Endgame – a fact that Douglas would neither confirm nor deny, citing some pretty serious consequences.

“You know I can't say a word about that,” the actor said. “They have one of those machines that, as soon as you say the word ‘Avengers,’ a blowgun comes to the side of my neck.”

Ant-Man and The Wasp, directed by Peyton Reed and starring Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Peña, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Laurence Fishburne, Hannah John-Kamen, Randall Park and Walton Goggins, is currently available in Digital HD, DVD and Blu-ray and is currently streaming on Netflix.
