Ant-Man's smallest adventure yet, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, is heading to IMAX screens.

An official Quantumania IMAX trailer was released a day after Marvel Studios finally unveiled the threequel's first trailer to the public. Though no additional scenes were added, Quantumania's trailer visuals have been upgraded to 4K resolution, providing stronger visuals of its surrealistic Quantum Realm environment. The trailer also confirmed that Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania's IMAX release date will be Feb. 17, 2023, the same day as its normal theatrical release.

Marvel Studios recently released the first official Quantumania trailer which saw Scott Lang, Hank Pym and their families get sucked into the Quantum Realm after a device built by Hope Van Dyne and Cassie Lang to contact the microdimension malfunctions. Once inside, they discover Jonathan Majors' Kang the Conqueror, who offers to help Scott escape back to Earth in exchange for a personal favor. Alongside Kang, Quantumania's trailer teased Bill Murray's unspecified cameo as a Quantum Realm native -- rumored to be Marvel antagonist Krylar -- and the first appearance of technopath M.O.D.O.K. in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Majors made his MCU debut in the Loki Season 1 finale as He Who Remains, an alternate Kang Variant who invented the Time Variance Authority to prevent his other selves from invading the multiverse. According to Majors, it wasn't until after completing his Loki episode that he decided to officially join the MCU as Kang. "It was the character and dimensions of Kang [that drew me to the role]," the actor said. "And the potential that it had. I thought I'll take a chance on that."

Though Kang's motives remain ambiguous, he will presumably be the main villain of Phase 6's two-part Avengers crossover, titled Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. Kang Dynasty will be written by Quantumania writer Jeff Loveness, with Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings' Destin Daniel Cretton serving as director.

Following the release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will mark Marvel Studios' first entry in its Phase 5 timeline. It was announced during San Diego Comic-Con that Quantumania would be followed theatrically by Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3, The Marvels, Blade, Captain America: New World Order and Thunderbolts, as well as various Disney+ shows set during the events of Phase 5. However, Marvel has since pushed back the release dates for Blade, Secret Wars, Deadpool 3 and the new Fantastic Four to sometime between 2024 and 2026.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania arrives in theaters and IMAX on Feb. 17, 2023.
