Following the epic events of the Infinity Saga, Marvel Studios is preparing to enter into a bold new and mysterious storyline with the upcoming Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that includes new heroes and teams alongside returning franchises like 2023's Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania.
The third film in the Ant-Man franchise from director Peyton Reed has already teased a huge new Marvel villain while also confirming some returning characters, but there have been quite a few rumors about other characters making their appearance in the film that we'll be taking a closer look at today.
10 Rumored: Randall Park May Reprise His Role As Agent Jimmy Woo
Randall Park first appeared as a former S.H.I.E.L.D. turned FBI agent Jimmy Woo in 2018's Ant-Man and The Wasp as Scott Lang's parole officer who was also investigating Hank Pym and Hope Van Dyne's fugitive status.
Woo would reappear on Disney+'s WandaVision as the FBI liaison to S.W.O.R.D. during the Westview incident, which set the character up for a bigger role in the MCU moving forward. Given Woo's history with Scott Lang and his increased MCU status, it's been rumored his next appearance will come in Quantumania.
9 Confirmed: Paul Rudd And Evangeline Lilly Are Back As Ant-Man And The Wasp
The titular stars of the franchise will undoubtedly be returning for the sequel as Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly were two of the first confirmed actors returning for the franchise continuation, which will further explore the Quantum Realm.
Both characters have spent some time working together as both superhero and romantic partners in their careers as the modern Ant-Man and The Wasp, and fans will likely see more of this relationship develop as they potentially even receive rumored new costumes.

The character of Darcy Lewis first appeared in 2011's Thor played by Kat Dennings before she reappeared in the first sequel, Thor: The Dark World. While Darcy didn't stay in the Thor franchise, she reappeared alongside Jimmy Woo in WandaVision.
Lewis was brought on as a consulting astrophysicist to help investigate the Hex that covered the town of Westview, where she further showcased her potential as one of the MCU's key "people in the chair" and further rose in popularity among fans, meaning Marvel Studios might be looking for more ways to include Darcy Lewis.
7 Confirmed: Michael Douglas Will Return As The Original Ant-Man, Hank Pym
When Scott Lang first took on the role of Ant-Man in the 2011 movie, he wore the original size-changing suit created by the brilliant Hank Pym, former S.H.I.E.L.D. scientist and government operative before he lost his wife and went into private industry.
Pym's history as Ant-Man hasn't been fully explored yet in the MCU, though his mission to rescue his wife from the Quantum Realm was a success, meaning Quantumania might see a very different version of Hank Pym appear on the big screen.
6 Rumored: Michael Peña's Luis Hasn't Been Officially Confirmed For Quantumania
One of the breakout characters from the original Ant-Man was Michael Peña's Luis, Scott Lang's former cellmate turned business partner at X-Con Security Consultants and arguably the best recapper in the MCU.
Luis played a large role in both previous installments of the Ant-Man franchise as he assisted Lang and the Pym family on their missions, though Luis has yet to be confirmed return in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, leading to rumors about his possible involvement with the upcoming movie.

Ant-Man and The Wasp further explored the Quantum Realm that Scott Lang briefly traveled to when he shrunk below safe limits during his battle with Yellowjacket, though he was able to safely return from the Quantum Realm.
This inspired Hank Pym to create a machine that would allow him to navigate the Quantum Realm in order to find his missing wife, Janet van Dyne. The rescue of Janet van Dyne was almost ruined by the actions of Hannah John-Kamen's Ava Starr/Ghost, whose own connection to the Quantum Realm was threatening to destabilize her body until she completely faded away from reality.
While Ghost was saved by the returning Jan van Dyne, she disappeared alongside Laurence Fishburne's Bill Foster in Ant-Man and The Wasp. However, John-Kamen has teased her character's return to the MCU which could mean we see Ghost return for Quantumania.

Cassie Lang is another character who has appeared throughout the Ant-Man franchise, though after Abby Ryder Fortson starred as Cassie in the franchise, Emma Fuhrmann played an older version of the character in Avengers: Endgame.
Kathryn Newton will be the third actor to take on the role of Cassie Lang following the announcement that she will be joining the cast of Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, which has led to further speculation about her role in the movie.

The recasting of Cassie Lang has led many to believe the character will appear in her own superhero role as the size-changing hero known as Stature, who also eventually takes on the costumed identity of Stinger in the future as well.

Given the Avengers' recent use and abuse of time travel through the Quantum Realm in order to gather the Infinity Stones in Avengers: Endgame, it's likely Kang the Conqueror will arrive in the present MCU to deal with the ramifications of their rookie time-traveling.
