Anne T. Murphy-Goodwin, the wife of the late comics professional Archie Goodwin, has passed away."MURPHY-GOODWIN-- Anne T., passed away on March 27, 2020," her obituary reads. "Wife of the late comic book editor Archie Goodwin. Survived by their children Jen and Seth and their spouses Gerard Guerin and Meg Fellerath. Anne was an artist and advocate for equality and women's rights. She will be missed and she is at peace. Memorial to take place at a later date."Archie Goodwin's career in comics began when he started drawing comic strips for the Mary Perkins, On Stage newspaper. However, he's perhaps best known for his work at Marvel and DC, working as a writer and/or editor on such titles as Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Star Wars, Batman, Detective Comics and more. Notably, his collaborative work with Walt Simonson on the Manhunter backups in Detective Comics received many accolades, and it's something Simonson credits both Archie and Anne with helping make possible."Anne Murphy, the wife of the late Archie Goodwin, has caught the last train out," Simonson tweeted after learning of Anne's passing. "As I said at Archie's memorial back in 1998, between them, they established my professional life with Manhunter, and my personal life with Weezie, whom I met through them. Thank you, Anne. Godspeed."
