"The Mummy" reboot has found its leading lady in "X-Men: First Class" actress Annabelle Wallis.

According to Variety, the "Annabelle" actress will portray an archaeologist in the remake, opposite headliner Tom Cruise. The titular monster is set to be played by "Kingsman: The Secret Service" actress Sofia Boutella.

Developed by Chris Morgan and Alex Kurtzman -- who is also directing the pic -- Universal's "Mummy" reboot is set to be the first foray into a shared movie universe, featuring the studio's monster movie icons. Kurtzman is also producing, alongside Morgan and Sean Daniel.

From a script by "Prometheus" scribe Jon Spaihts, the present day "Mummy" movie will awaken in theatres on June 9, 2017.
