The Annabelle Comes Home trailer hit today and it pays off the talk of James Wan's company creating a Conjuring Universe. It not only brings everything together in one movie, but it also uses the words "Welcome to the Home of the Conjuring Universe" in the trailer.

The Conjuring Universe has always been a thing, though. It started out with The Conjuring in 2013 and was then followed by the prequel film Annabelle, which focused on the doll seen in that first movie.

Following that, there was the second Conjuring movie, another Annabelle movie, and then two brand-new spinoffs hitting in 2018 and 2019: The Nun and The Curse of La Llorana. After Annabelle Comes Home hits this year, there will be a third Conjuring movie arriving in 2020.

The big thing about Annabelle Comes Home is that it is a movie that takes place in the present day, which brings back Conjuring actors Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as Ed and Lorraine Warren. They have to deal with the Annabelle doll getting out of their possession to terrorize their ten-year-old daughter, Judy, and one of her friends who was responsible for releasing the demonic doll.

The trailer also shows a number of items seen in the past movies in the Conjuring Universe, as it finally ties everything together in one film. From the look of the trailer, this is The Avengers for demonic relics as Annabelle awakens the evil spirits in the Warren's artifacts room.
