To many anime fans' surprise, a new Twilight book has been released reviving the fanbase and making Edward Cullen a trending topic once again. 10 Mikaela Hyakuya

Mikaela comes from the show Seraph of the End, where his whole family is murdered, and he is turned into a vampire. The only thing he wants is to reunite with Yu and protect him from the corrupt humans around him. Mikaela works directly with the vampire ruler Krul and has amazing swordsmanship.

Mikaela has a ton of character growth, and watching him trying to reunite with Yu, who he loves dearly, makes the show tug at your heartstrings.

9 Yuki Cross

Yuki Cross is the main protagonist of Vampire Knight, who is revealed to be a high ranking vampire later in the story. Yuki is torn between two men named Kaname and Zero, who have complicated backgrounds and are both sworn enemies.

Yuki must learn to deal with her new life while trying to keep the peace between her vampires and the humans they live close to.

8 Moka Akashiya

Moka is one of the protagonists of Rosario + Vampire. Moka has two personalities, the lighthearted girl that loves the main character Tsukune and a cold-hearted, but the extremely powerful true form that is revealed when her rosary is removed. Moka must learn to become her true self while dealing with high school and falling in love.

7 Karin Maaka

Karin has been around for quite some time and stars in series with the same name. Karin is a sweet but strange vampire who regularly has nosebleeds. Karin is actually a reverse vampire who needs to give blood rather than take it in order to survive.

Karin meets a young boy named Kenta, who she quickly develops a relationship with and who helps her with her hilarious backward ability.

Staz comes from Blood Lad and isn't your typical vampire. He lives in a world separate from humans, where he just orders his blood. Although he is incredibly powerful and rules over his territory, he is an otaku. He would much rather stay indoors all day enjoying a video game than go outside.

Despite this shut-in behavior, he is more than willing to help those around him, including a young human girl who he wants to return to the right dimension.

5 Koyomi Araragi

Araragi comes from the famous Monogatari series and is a strange fellow. Araragi was once infected with vampirism but is seemingly cured. He still possesses many of the vampire attributes like being able to heal incredibly fast and makes it his mission to help others who have fallen into a similar situation.

Araragi is incredibly good-hearted and works his hardest to save the young women he meets during the show.

4 Dio Brando

Dio Brando is the antagonist of Jojo part one and part three. If you are looking for a ruthless vampire with very little care for human life, then Dio is the way to go. Dio loves to manipulate and force his way into situations that will benefit him. He has very few morals and has incredible power when compared to other stand users.

Dio is one of the most popular characters in the series and is one of the most selfish vampires in anime.

3 Alucard

Alucard comes from Hellsing, where he works with an organization of the same name. Alucard is a vampire that has sworn allegiance to helping humans and works alongside them to wipe out any potential threats. This puts him up against a group of Nazis and throws him into some political drama.

Alucard is strong and a delight to watch fight in the series.

2 Sophie Twilight

Sophie comes from a newer series called Ms. Vampire Who Lives in my Neighborhood. Sophie is a vampire who prefers to stay in her house and order her blood online. She quickly gains a human best friend and roommate and works hard to make friends with the characters in the show.

Sophie is incredibly sweet and lives a comical vampire life that is a delight to learn about.

1 Seraphim

Seraphim is a vampire ninja from the show Is This a Zombie!?. Seraphim shows up in the show to get the powerful necromancer Eucliwood to take her in as her apprentice. Seraphim is denied and decides to move in and live with the main cast of characters.

She is incredibly honorable but often ends up in silly situations. When it comes down to it, though, she is a fearsome foe in battle.
