It's no secret that Twilight's Bella Swan isn't the most popular vampire girl with the anime community. Bella does get some supernatural abilities after turning, but other than that, fans don't really see her being a vampire. Moka is the leading lady of the series Rosario + Vampire. Moka is a vampire girl who wears a rosary in order to control her power. When her rosary is on, she has a sweet personality but is considered to be physically weak.

When she removes the rosary, her appearance changes, along with her personality and ability to fight, Moka suddenly gets much bolder, and her hair turns completely silver.

9 Krul Tepes

Krul Tepes is from Seraph of The End, where she leads a large group of Japan-based vampires. Krul is more complicated than the rest of the vampires and develops a soft spot for turned orphan Mikaela. Krul is incredibly powerful and was once a human herself, despite hating them so much.

Krul rules fairly and has a distaste for those who she views as selfish or greedy.

8 Yuki Cross

Yuki is the main protagonist of Vampire Knight, who is awakened later in the series as a vampire. Yuki is the surviving member of an affluent vampire family, and she is caught in a love triangle between Kaname and her adoptive brother Zero, who hates vampires.

Karin is a kind-hearted vampire, and the anime and manga she stars in features a sweet love story perfect for fans of romance series.

6 Hikari Takanashi

Hikari is a vampire from the series Interviews With Monster Girls. In the show, she is shown as an optimistic young vampire who uses blood bags to get her nutrients. She prefers to live alongside humans peacefully and is easy to get along with.

Hikari also has a twin who turned out to be human; the two have a close relationship that is a delight to watch.

5 Mina Tepes

Mina Tepes is the vampire queen from Dance in The Vampire Bund. Mina outs the existence of vampires and wants to coexist with humans. She resides in a vampire only city and is met with resistance from humans, who are fearful of her species.

Despite the hatred, Mina sees the good in humans and stands firm in her desire to get along with them.

4 Sophie Twilight

Sophie comes from slice-of-life comedy series Ms. Vampire Who Lives in my Neighborhood. Sophie is another kind-hearted vampire who can't stand the thought of taking blood from a human. After rescuing a young girl named Akari one night, the human moves in with her, proclaiming they are best friends.

3 Shinobu Oshino

Shinobu appeared in Bakemonogatari with a rather tragic backstory. Shinobu was once a human with a horrible curse that made anyone to close to her commit suicide. She was glad to be turned into a vampire, but has lost many of her powerful abilities.

After some time passes in the story, Shinobu ends up becoming a cheerful character who loves donuts way too much.

2 Youko Shiragami

Youko Shiragami comes from the series My Vampire Secret. In the series, she is able to go to a human school on the condition that she can hide the fact she is a vampire. There she meets the boy she starts to fall in love with, and must find ways to keep her fangs hidden.

Youko is a clueless but sweet vampire that just wants to blend in with her classmates.

1 Hazuki

Hazuki comes from an older series named Moonphase, where she moves to Japan. Hazuki is a young daywalker who lives with the photographer Kohei after declaring that she had made him her servant. As the series progresses, the viewer learns that she is royalty, as several other vampires try to bring her home.

Hazuki is initially selfish but learns to care for others as she spends more time living with Kohei's family.
