There are many anime where combat or some sort of conflict is inevitable to save the day. However, sometimes talking things out can also easily save the day, even when there are life-threatening situations at stake.

From persuading people to stop pursuing revenge to clearing up misunderstandings about others, many conflicts simply ended because the characters took the time to talk to each other rather than get into fisticuffs. No matter how life-threatening some of these situations were, it was by talking to the people in need of help, or sometimes even the antagonistic forces opposing them, that ultimately saved the day.

10 Katarina Persuaded Raphael To Stop Pursuing Revenge (My Next Life As A Villainess)

Sirius Dieke was revealed to be none other than Raphael Walt, who was the original Sirius' illegitimate twin brother. After Sirius' mother killed Raphael's mother and tried transferring Sirius' memories into Raphael's head to make him be the new Sirius, Raphael was forced to impersonate Sirius until he had an opportunity for revenge.

This opportunity for revenge almost led him to kill the main cast in the first season's finale. However, Katarina managed to talk him out of pursuing revenge, and Raphael later stopped looking for revenge and took up work at the Magic Ministry instead.

9 Maika Stopped Her Sister From Killing Dino (Blend S)

After Maika's sister assumed that Dino, Maika's boss, made Maika cry, she was ready to straight-up kill Dino with a spear. This understandably earned Maika and the rest of her co-workers' collective horror. Thankfully for Dino, Maika, and everyone else present, Maika was quick to assure her sister that Dino was comforting her over a few mistakes she made during work due to her natural sadism.

This not only saved Dino from being killed on the spot but also changed her sister's mood from being overprotectively murderous to her usual, calm self.

Aoba often used his Scrap abilities to save the other characters by diving deep into their minds, but Mink was a little different in this case. Despite Aoba reaching him with Scrap, Mink still initially refused Aoba's help.

After it was revealed that Mink intended to let himself die after getting revenge on Toue over massacring his tribe, Aoba persuaded Mink, in his own words, to keep on living instead of living to eventually die. Mink took these words to heart, and it was implied that he continued living on after Toue died in the anime adaptation.

Raul Chaser, in the finale, went after twist villain Fino after she took on being the new Demon King. Instead of fighting her, however, Raul tried to reach her with his words. He tried to make her recall the past times they spent working at Leon Magic Shop together, including showing a few examples of her helping out customers.

Even though he wanted to be a hero, he refused to fight Fino and instead wanted her to come back to normal. Thankfully, this worked out in Raul's favor and returned Fino to normal.

6 The Love Lab Persuaded The Teachers That One Of Their Own Did Not Have A Boyfriend (Love Lab)

One of the Love Lab's members, Sayori, got in trouble for having a boyfriend, she was forced to leave the student council since the school she attended forbid any of their students from dating. However, the rest of the Love Lab members persuaded the teachers that Sayori was practicing with one of their members, Natsuo, who cross-dressed as a boy to practice meeting cute guys in the future.

Though this resulted in the Love Lab having to write a written statement about their made-up situation, it did allow Sayori to rejoin the student council.

5 Naoya Chased Nagisa & Told Her That She Was Just As Important As Saki Was To Him (Girlfriend, Girlfriend)

During Girlfriend, Girlfriend, Naoya started dating both Nagisa and Saki. However, in the finale, Nagisa was about to break it off with Naoya for good, claiming that her happiness was not as important as Saki's. However, Naoya and the rest of the cast chased Nagisa for most of the episode, with Naoya yelling about how Nagisa was just as important to him as Saki.

Though this situation was hilarious and a bit extreme, it saved the relationship.

4 Gon's Determined Chat With Hanzo Earned Gon His Hunter License (Hunter X Hunter)

During the final rounds of the Hunter Exam, Gon had to fight Hanzo one-on-one. Whoever surrendered first would ensure that the winner would earn their license. However, they could not kill each other, since the killed would immediately be disqualified. Hanzo and Gon first started fighting each other, but it became scarily obvious that Hanzo was way too powerful. After Hanzo threatened to chop Gon's arm off if he did not surrender, Gon refused to surrender and pointed out that Hanzo chopping off his arm would cause Gon to bleed to death, therefore leading to Hanzo's disqualification.

After Hanzo realized that Gon was unwilling to give up, he decided to surrender, letting Gon win his Hunter License. Thankfully for Hanzo, he earned his license in a later finals round.

3 Kyoko Flipped The Lines Of A Play Around To Reach Maria's Heart (Skip Beat!)

Kyoko Mogami found out that Maria Takarada, LME Entertainment's president's granddaughter, suffered from losing her mother and had an estranged relationship with her father. After Maria got fed up with a play being in production surrounding family issues, Kyoko was put on the spot by the training actors and actresses to use the play's script to portray the sister in the play as being mean to the protagonist but still make the protagonist realize that her father still loved her.

Not only did Kyoko pull off the act convincingly, but she also switched the lines in the script to speak to Maria's heart about her family issues, helping her heal emotionally. Though it was not shown in the anime adaptation, Maria did later make full amends with her father.

2 Tohru Accepted Kyo In His True Form (Fruits Basket)

After Kazuma removed Kyo's bracelet and revealed Kyo's true monstrous form to Tohru, Kyo ran away out of shame and the fear of losing Tohru in his life. However, Tohru ran after him and tried to speak with him, telling him that she would stay by his side because she wanted to understand him better and live with him.

Kyo was touched by this heart-to-heart and called her by her name for the first time as they hugged each other. This was especially sweet for fans to watch in the 2019 adaptation's first season finale, and even sweeter when the two of them officially got together romantically.

Hikari, a vampire, found out that people were gossiping about a classmate and snow-woman, Yuki, negatively. Furious, Hikari deliberately confronted the bullies in a tense conversation. She called the bullies out for being so mean to Yuki simply based on her being a demi-human and also shot down their argument that it was fine to do it because everyone else did it.

Hikari drove herself to tears, knowing that there would likely be other people that spoke badly of demi-humans, but the bullies themselves were so impressed by Hikari standing up to them that they apologized to Yuki and never bullied her again.
