Although this series has niche popularity with some adult crowds, it's mostly enjoyed by kids.

Kids will have an easier time connecting with Beyblade's premise, especially with an entire toy line behind it to draw them in.

Although it's true that many adults enjoy the Pokémon franchise, it's most likely because they were introduced to the video games and anime as children. Like most anime with toy and video game franchises behind them, the premise for Pokémon is easy to understand and its young protagonists are immediately relatable for child audiences. Many adults who love Pokémon today probably appreciated it much more as children and it might be tough for them to sit through the series now that they're older.

It's certainly a nostalgic title for some adults, but not the most interesting.
