In the not so distant future, Sudou Kaname is is unknowingly thrust into the popular mobile game called, "Darwin's Game". Its not just any ordinary game, its a game to the death. Every player in the game has a unique ability called a "sigil" and it bestows a powerful ability to player and is very reminiscent of hero shooters. The main character can copy whatever he touches and his main love interest, Shuka can manipulate chains. Currently, the show is set up like a battle royale and has plenty of twists and turns, like any good FPS. If you want an anime that get your blood pumping, Darwin's Game is good choice.

9 Gunslinger Girls

What would you get if you rescued young girls from the brink of death, only to make them highly skilled assassins that would eliminate any target? You would get the deeply entertaining, Gunslinger Girls. As said previously, Gunslinger Girls follows a cast of young girls as they deal with the brainwashing and fake love they recieve as deadly assassins. What emotions are real and why they are doing what they are doing, are the core of the story. Based on the structure and premise of the story, this is like a first-person hitman game. You get to experience the well coordinated assassins and even some fire fights that would make a Call of Duty fan proud.

8 Heavy Objects

The one sin that human kind can never atone for is that we have never got an official Metal Gear anime, fortunately for us we have Heavy Objects. In the distant future, there are these massive spherical tanks called, "Objects', and they are weapons of war that threaten the future of any nation. It's up to Qwenthur and Havia, two lowly soldiers, and Milinda, a object pilot, to fight and destroy enemy objects and protect the world and their very lives. Throughout the show you get to see the tactics and plans of the main character and its very reminiscent of the gameplay of first person stealth game like Metal Gear Solid and Splinter Cell. If you want a show that reminds you of the outrageous premise of Metal Gear, you'll dig this game.

Btoom!! is a death game anime that follows 8 unique contestants who are trapped on a deserted island and their weapons are bombs.  These unique bombs are known as "BIM", and they vary from timed bombs to trigger bombs and each contestant must use these bombs to survive and figure out the nature of the circumstances that surround the death game. The show plays with the concepts of survival and hero shooters as we get to see all of the different types of bombs and personalities. Considering the inspiration of the death game was a first-person shooter called Btoom, it holds various elements that make the genre enthralling.

5 Psycho-Pass

On the more cerebral part of the spectrum, Psycho-Pass is a story about justice and corruption in a future society. In the 22nd century, the Sibyl System is a way of examining the mental state of an individual and determine whether they have criminal intent, premeditated justice.

Akane Tsunemori is a naive woman who becomes an enforcer and wants to fight for pure justice, but the Sibyl System might be corrupt and she has to determine what true justice is.
