Some heroes have a reputation for being crass and careless around others. For some, they have a habit of saying and doing the wrong thing at the worst time. For others, it's a propensity for messiness even when visiting someone else's house. For others still, it is their general insensitivity and lack of social awareness.

While this does not make these heroes bad people, it definitely results in a few heads turning or a few instances of them being chewed out by the more proper and well-mannered characters. These fan-favorite heroes are a little rough around the edges.

10 Inosuke Was Literally Raised By Wild Animals In Demon Slayer

Inosuke has no volume besides 11. He is quick to anger and incredibly cocky. His lack of tact makes sense, as he claims to have been raised by a boar. He is often scolded by the other demon slayers for these traits, and slayers like Zenitsu are constantly trying to hide from him. Though he comes across as brash and has a tendency to antagonize those around him by accident, he is a beloved member of the main cast of Demon Slayer, and many fans find his eccentric and high-strung nature endearing.

9 Bakugo Can't Hold In His Outbursts In My Hero Academia

Like Inosuke, Bakugo is extremely confident in his power and abilities. However, for Bakugo, this is because he was always considered a gifted child. His entire hero aesthetic centers around explosions due to his explosive quirk and personality.

However, this explosive personality gets him into trouble with his peers. Because he is so quick to anger, especially when Midoriya is successful, he lashes out at those around him. He is both rude and hard to work with, and his fellow students certainly notice this.

Toph Beifong is the blind daughter of a wealthy family, and because of this, her family hid her away in their estate. However, Toph is incredibly powerful and determined. She does not care what her parents or anyone else thinks. As part of her rebellion against her family, she completely ditches her rich girl persona and becomes the toe-picking, dirty-footed, sarcastic hero fans have come to know and love. For her lack of manners, she has become a serious fan favorite of the show.

7 Natsu From Fairy Tail  Is Loud And Oblivious

Natsu using fire magic fairy tail

Natsu Dragneel is one of the many characters in shonen anime who fall into the category of loud-mouthed protagonists who refuse to give up, but it is a trope that works. Natsu's fiery personality is complemented by his fire magic and witty talking-cat best friend, Happy. He is not one for tact and would rather jump into situations headfirst and with great violence. Fans can often find Natsu yelling boldly at his enemies, recklessly barreling into trouble, and having a good-natured fight with his guildmates.

6 Naruto: Shippuden's Sai Is Straight Up Rude

Sail looks down, expressionless

When viewers first meet Sai, he is an incredibly rude and insensitive double agent who claims to have no emotions. However, this is because he grew up a part of a secret underground organization called "The Foundation" that brainwashed children into becoming super soldiers. Naruto and Sakura convince Sai to leave his former post and regain his connection with his emotions, and Sai starts to get better, but he still has a tendency to be blunt and accidentally say the wrong things due to his lack of social skills.

5 In Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders Jotaro Is Rude To Pretty Much All Women

Birds-eye view of Jotaro in Diamond is Unbreakable

Is there anything ruder than watching a man cuss out his kind mother? Jotaro Kujo certainly has a knack for swearing at women, and he obviously looks down on them. Most of these moments are unwarranted and seemingly unprovoked. Because of this, some fans are hesitant to see Jotaro as the hero the show makes him out to be. Though he is the series protagonist and might mean well, it can be difficult to get past his rude behavior throughout the show, and even into the next part, Diamond is Unbreakable.

4 Mineta Is The Loud-Mouthed Class Creep In My Hero Academia

Mineta stuck to Momo

Mineta is certainly the class creep. He often makes inappropriate remarks about his female peers, and he is constantly getting himself into trouble. While Mineta's moments are supposed to be a source of humor, for some fans, it just comes across as uncomfortable and creepy. Mineta is a resourceful and intelligent character, but his rude behavior toward women makes it difficult for fans to see past his ill-mannered antics.

3 Naruto Is A Rude Eater And Doesn't Think Before He Speaks

Naruto looks determined

Naruto Uzumaki has surely been guilty of saying the wrong thing on occasion. He often accidentally insults Sakura Haruno, which usually results in him getting a swift punch to the gut. He speaks out of turn and is prone to impulsive outbursts, which often frustrates and embarrasses his teammates.

He is also rude and disrespectful to the Hokage and other figures of power and authority. Furthermore, he can be a bit of an imposition. When he and his teammates went to the Land of Waves, they stay at Tsunami and Inari's home where they voraciously eat their food and demand seconds.

2 Asta Is Loud And Crass In Black Clover

Asta flexing with stars in his eyes

Like Naruto, Asta is known for his outbursts and hyperactive nature. He is also known to be sarcastic and a bit crass. However, because of his past as an orphan in the Forsaken region, he is sensitive to the feelings of others and refuses to let anyone get away with making fun of his friends. Still, he is rough around the edges and lacks the refinement of some of the other Magic Knights. Because of this, he is looked down on and not taken seriously, despite his interesting powers.

1 Gray Takes Off His Clothes At Inappropriate Times In Fairy Tail

Gray frowning

Gray Fullbuster is not as rash as some of his peers. In fact, he has a pretty aloof temperament. While he will participate in banter that sometimes includes flinging around half-hearted insults, he is generally logical and level-headed. Gray's ill-manners manifest less in accidental rudeness and more in his inappropriate habit of taking off his clothes that gets him into troublesome situations. This eccentric and awkward mannerism is subconscious and therefore uncontrollable, and though it is supposed to be a humorous quirk, it is more creepy than whimsical.
