It was once said "With great power comes great responsibility." It isn't the power of the individual that defines them, it's how they wield it. Anime is littered with immeasurably powerful characters who have used their power to walk different roads, some for better and others for worse.

When forced into action, they prioritize the needs of others over their own.

10 Saitama's Overwhelming Strength Has Left Him Feeling Nothing (One-Punch Man)

Saitama Facing A Weaker Enemy

Despite being the protagonist and titular character of One-Punch Man, Saitama's character has yet to be truly explored, that's assuming that there is something to explore. The overpowered hero appears to carry an emptiness; his lust for life has essentially vanished as his power has grown to immeasurable heights.

Despite the ability to beat anyone with one punch, Saitama doesn't go around boasting about how great he is. Truthfully, he doesn't go around doing much at all. His apathetic nature means Saitama is humble by default and maybe that's the reason monsters keep approaching him. He looks and acts ordinary, so his opponent underestimates him.

9 Goku Approaches Battle With Curiosity And Excitement (Dragon Ball)

Goku using Super Saiyan Blue in Dragon Ball Super

Goku is fully aware of how strong he is, yet arguably his most impressive feat is keeping his ego in check. Conversely, his partner-in-crime Vegeta is fueled by arrogance and pride, ensuring everyone knows just how far he has come. Goku seems to be excited but respectful towards his opponents and approaches life with a childlike curiosity.

It's plausible that Goku has been humbled by his past defeats. After all, it hasn't been smooth sailing for the Saiyan Warrior, with losses to the likes of Beerus, Freiza and Cell. But for someone capable of destroying entire planets, Goku never looks down on those weaker than himself.

But the time-manipulating hero remained humble and hardworking, letting his accomplishments speak for themselves, and he carried with him an inclusive and progressive philosophy that championed tearing down class lines and living in harmony.

Julius has been influenced by commoners and foreigners, including Asta, Yami and Zara Ideale, partly explaining his compassionate views. He doesn't care about your title, only the content of your character.

Armin crying in Attack On Titan.

Early in the series, Armin was portrayed as a coward, afraid of the terrifying enemy that stood before him. Coward might be a bit strong, as most of humanity fear the Titans, but next to the fearless Mikasa and Eren, his vulnerability was particularly pronounced.

However, after inheriting the Colossal Titan, Armin has almost unrivalled power to compliment his ever-present genius. He becomes arguably the strongest character in the series but never lets it go to his head. He never tries to be the hero, instead sticking to plans and trusting his friends to do their part.
