Whether it is for their immense bravery or over-the-top flashiness, audiences believe that these anime characters deserve to look like the heroes they are.
Each of these heroes varies greatly from one another in terms of fighting style and temperament, but that does not make them any less worthy to wear a hero costume. As many viewers know, heroes can come from anywhere. It is with this reasoning in mind that audiences believe certain characters should be allowed to wear their own costume.

Although he is lambasted by the people of Amestris for committing the ultimate alchemical taboo, Edward and his brother had altruistic intentions as they were trying to bring their mother back to life.
Since his brother Alphonse already is a suit of armor, fans believe that Edward is befitting of a hero costume. Edward's skills with alchemy, and his single-minded focus on helping his brother make him one of the most selfless and determined characters in anime. Though he has been known to refuse to wear a uniform, fans like to think that he could be convinced to wear a hero costume.
8 Simon Pierced The Heavens (Gurren Lagann)
Simon is a young boy who lived underground until he and his friend Kamina drilled through to the surface. However, once they reach the top, they are met with many enemies in giant mechs. After acquiring and combining their own mechs, Simon and Kamina become a nearly unstoppable force against the Spiral in Gurren Lagann.
While Kamina deserves as much recognition as Simon, audiences cannot picture Kamina wearing anything but his already perfectly manly attire. Simon, on the other hand, would look great in a hero costume. Since he eventually brought Team Die Gurren to victory and started a new surface colony of humans. Simon is worthy of wearing a heroic outfit that alludes to his valiant accomplishments.

His compassion for others, especially at his own expense, solidifies him as a hero in the eyes of fans.
6 Legoshi Rescues His Friends (Beastars)
Legoshi struggles to keep his baser instincts in check – especially where his crush Haru is concerned. Struggling with his feelings, Legoshi seeks the help of a doctor who specializes in curing carnivores of their meat addiction. Legoshi is so fascinated by his training, that he eventually learns how to combat the enraged carnivores in Beastars.
While he seems extremely shy on the surface, Legoshi is usually one of the first to jump into a fray. He braves a lion yakuza ring to save Haru, and he even confronts Tem's killer. Legoshi deserves a hero costume for all of his courageous – if reckless, actions.
5 Aang Is The Avatar (Avatar: The Last Airbender)
As the Avatar, Aang has a lot of responsibilities. He must master the four core bending styles, while also protecting the world and being a mediator between humans and spirits. It is a lot to expect from a twelve-year-old, but Aang takes it (mostly) in stride throughout Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Aang could use a hero costume because of the bravery and wisdom he displayed when dealing with the Fire Lord. Despite everyone's council, Aang chose a different approach to handling the Fire Lord by taking away his bending. With all the adversity Aang faced in his young life, it is truly incredible that he spared the life of the man who ruined so many others.

Black Star is a boisterous Meister in Soul Eater. His cocky attitude is matched only by his skills in wielding his Weapon, Tsubaki. Black Star is never one to shy away from a fight and is always seeking out ways to show off his moves.
Black Star could use a hero costume because of his flashy skills and self-indulgent personality. The spectacle of a hero costume would fit right in with his temperament, and boost his already large ego even more.
3 Korosensei Can Do Anything (Assassination Classroom)
Korosensei is a genetically modified superhuman who was an assassin in his past in Assassination Classroom. Now, he teaches at Kunugigaoka Junior High. The skill and dexterity he uses in his teaching, however, are incredible. Korosensei's incredible speed makes it easy for him to cater to his students. He also takes a few students on indulgent vacations by flying through the air at Mach speed.
Despite his harrowing past, Korosensei is an excellent mentor and a deeply caring educator to his students. He strongly believes in the power of knowledge, as well as the compassion for students to grow. Korosensei would proudly wear his hero costume (though the spectacle of it might go to his head.)

On top of this, Itadori would be thrilled to wear a hero costume. As a teenager, Itadori is fascinated with movies. Therefore, getting the chance to wear a hero costume like the stars do in superhero movies would be a dream come true for the idealistic Itadori.

It is for this reason that Shinra is the most deserving of a hero costume. His dedication to his dream and his unrelenting search for his brother – despite all odds – solidifies him as a noble and courageous person. Shinra's hero costume would finally signal the achievement of his dream.
