The Summer 2022 season featured several new hit shows, including Call of the Night and The Yakuza's Guide to Babysitting. Summer also produced the long-awaited second season of various anime such as Rent-A-Girlfriend, The Devil Is A Part-Timer! and Classroom of the Elite.

With a myriad of new shows released each season, anticipation is already high for the upcoming anime to be released later this year. As summer comes to a close, the Fall 2022 anime line-up features numerous new seasons of currently popular series, along with some brand-new shows that have received adaptations from the original manga. Here are some of the most hotly anticipated upcoming titles.

My Hero Academia Season 6

The fifth season of My Hero Academia aired in Spring 2021. My Hero Academia turned into My Villain Academia and focused on the antagonists for part of the season. Viewers learned about Shigaraki's backstory and how he ended up as All For One's pawn. Season 5 also introduced the Meta Liberation Army, which revealed important information about the Quirk-filed society and set up the climatic ending, which leads to season six.

Set to air October 1st, My Hero Academia returns with its sixth season. The end of season 5 wrapped up with a cliffhanger as the heroes prepare to go to war against Shigaraki and the new Paranormal Liberation Front, which joined with the League of Villains. Midoriya and his classmates gear up for an intense final battle that has all the pro heroes on edge.

Mob Psycho 100 Season 3

The second season of Mob Psycho 100 continued to follow middle schooler Shigeo "Mob" Kageyama as he tried to navigate through the difficulties of life while learning to use his psychic powers. With the help of his mentor Arataka Reigan and an evil spirit, Dimple, Shigeo grows as an esper and takes on even greater challenges than trying to keep up with the Body Improvement Club.

After almost three years, Mob Psycho 100 returns with a third season this fall. Season 2 concluded with Mob's battle against fellow psychic Toichiro Suzuki. The aftermath resulted in a giant broccoli head in the middle of the city, which believers now think was produced by some God-like being. At the same time, Mob struggles to decide what his future and high school career will be. The anime will air sometime in October.

Spy x Family Part 2

The spring hit Spy x Family enticed viewers with the hilarious family dynamic and the thrilling action from a spy father, telepathic daughter and assassin mother. Loid has accomplished the first part of Operation Strix, getting married to a woman on short notice and adopting a young child who was successfully enrolled in Eden Academy. His daughter earned her first Stella and is on the way to becoming an imperial scholar. With a few bumps in the road, everything is going according to plan for the spy.

The second part of the first season will release in October 2022, featuring thirteen more episodes of the Forger family. Loid's next mission features a new enemy that may put Operation Strix at risk of failure. With the help of a furry new friend, Anya tries her best to save her father and his mission for the sake of world peace.

Blue Lock

Adapted from the incredibly popular manga of the same name, Blue Lock will begin airing this October. To create a top-tier soccer team, coach Jinpachi Ego initiates the Blue Lock Program. The initiative pits the best soccer players against each other and identifies the top athletes to create a team that will win the World Cup. The winner of Blue Lock will earn the title of the team's striker and go on to be a national player.

Among the players chosen is Yoichi Isagi. After making a play that caused his high school team to lose and missing the chance to go to nationals, Yoichi begins to doubt his decisions. However, upon receiving an invitation to compete in Blue Lock, he is determined to prove himself and earn the spot as the Japanese team's striker.

To Your Eternity Season 2

Voted as the Best Drama in the 2022 Crunchyroll Awards, To Your Eternity showcases a heartfelt story of an immortal being learning and experiencing humanity. Beginning as a white orb, it takes on the form of a lonely boy and adopts the name "Fushi." Fushi embarks on a journey and begins to learn about the world he happened to stumble on. In the process, Fushi explores various places and meets many people.

Fushi will embark on a new journey in the second season. He faces new obstacles and makes encounters with both new friends and foes. These challenges will continue to test Fushi's sense of humanity and force him to adapt to protect the people he's grown to care about.
