The grouchy antihero of Bleach, Ichigo Kurosaki the substitute Soul Reaper didn't show much interest in romance at first. He was too busy fighting Hollows and saving his friends as an action star, but there was no denying the chemistry between him and his old friend, Orihime Inoue.

While the Ichigo/Rukia pairing was popular among Bleach fans, the story paired up Ichigo with Orihime in the end, as the Bleach manga shows in its final chapter. Both of them effectively retired from the shonen hero business, got married, and had a son, Kazui.

Then the manga provided the answer.

The state alchemist hero, Edward Elric, used to have a tough time admitting his blossoming feelings for his childhood friend Winry Rockbell, and it doesn't help that he's a defensive tsundere. In the end, though, Edward was a much more confident (and taller) young man who was ready to become Mr. Romance.

After the battle with Father finally ended, Edward used alchemy terms to propose marriage to Winry, and it worked. They found their happily-ever-after in their rural hometown of Resembool, and based on some photographs, they started their own family. All is well for the Elrics.

Naruto Uzumaki can join Ichigo and Edward in the "shonen heroes who got married" club, and his happily-ever-after is one of the most popular in the anime world today. Unlike the controversial Ichigo/Orihime pairing, the Naruto/Hinata pairing always had strong fan support, and the Naruto anime delivered.

Hinata Hyuga had always admired Naruto, and she confessed her love to him during the battle against Pain in Shippuden. Naruto returned those feelings in full, and they were happily married at the end of the story to set things up for Boruto, featuring Boruto and Himawari Uzumaki.

1 Taro Kabakura Enjoyed His Wedding (Wotakoi)

Taro Kabakura from Wotakoi: Love Is Hard For Otaku.

Wotakoi is an office comedy/romance series starring four closeted otaku, including the kuudere Hirotaka Nifuji, the cheerful Narumi Momose, the cosplay enthusiast Hanako Koyanagi, and the anime geek Taro Kabakura. While Hirotaka and Narumi are happy as boyfriend and girlfriend, Taro took things one step further.

Even if he often butts heads with Hanako, Taro absolutely loves her, and vice versa, so he found the courage to propose marriage at one point in the Wotakoi manga. He and Hana greatly enjoyed their Western-style wedding, and it didn't take them long to get used to married life, either. All is well, now and in the future.
