While many anime characters have yet to reach the end of their series, some have seen their dreams realized. Whether there was a specific task they wanted to accomplish for themselves or a person they wanted to save, some characters managed to reach the goal they always dreamed of achieving.

Even though Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is a prodigy when it comes to alchemy, he has no intention of becoming a state alchemist. This changes when he and his brother attempt human transmutation, which causes Ed to lose an arm and a leg and his brother to lose his entire body.

From that day on, his only goal is to get his brother's body back so that they can live a normal life. It takes a long time, and they suffer greatly during their adventures, but by the end of the series, both Ed and Al are able to live as normal humans again.

9 Aang Wanted To Achieve Balance (Avatar: The Last Airbender)

Aang doesn't start Avatar The Last Airbender with a specific goal in mind. In fact, he wants to completely ignore his responsibilities and just have a carefree life. Once he accepts the fact that he's the Avatar, his only real goals are to learn all the elements and defeat the Fire Nation, but once he learns about the coming Sozin's Comet, achieving them becomes much more urgent.

As the Avatar, Aang wants to bring back balance to the world, which is far from easy. He fails on many occasions and nearly dies in the process, but once the series ends, he can safely say he's managed to make the world a much better place for everyone.

8 Kenshin Wanted To Redeem Himself (Rurouni Kenshin)

Kenshin's goal in Rurouni Kenshin is far from obvious. As a wandering swordsman, his life seems pretty aimless, but in reality, there is something he is hoping to achieve. Due to his actions during the Boshin War, where he killed countless people as a member of the Ishin Shishi, Kenshin has vowed that he will never kill again.

His aim is to gain redemption, which is certainly a hard goal to achieve, considering it isn't tangible like many other dreams. However, the amount of people Kenshin has helped throughout the series and his level of kindness shows how much he's changed. He may not believe it himself, but by the end of the series, he can certainly say he's earned his redemption.

From the moment Naruto appears, he's talking about his dream to become Hokage. As a student in ninja school, his dream seems pretty far-fetched, considering he's the class clown who everyone in his village hates. Then again, that's exactly why he wants to become Hokage.

He wants everyone in his village to respect him. It takes a long time for Naruto to mature from underdog to village hero, and it certainly takes a lot of hard work for him to gain his village's respect. When the series ends and Boruto begins, Naruto is not only Hokage but one of the best ones.

Tyson from Beyblade loves the sport, so it makes sense that his only dream is to become the number one Beyblader. He's a novice who can barely beat his backyard bullies when the series begins, but that doesn't stop him from joining a tournament and forming a team with his friends and rivals.

Tyson and his fellow Bladebreakers travel across the world competing against some incredibly strong opponents, and on a few occasions, they nearly lose. Luckily, their teamwork and their training hold out, and Tyson becomes one of the greatest Beybladers of all time. Not only does he win one tournament, but he even wins several more after that.

Yatora from Blue Period is a delinquent high school student who finds himself unmotivated when trying to figure out his future life goals. Even though he has a negative reputation, he actually has excellent grades, but there isn't a single thing he can think of that he wants to do in the future. That all changes when a classmate's artwork inspires him to pursue art himself.

His talents are subpar at first, and not many people believe he can do it, especially since his goal is to get into the prestigious Tokyo University. That all changes when Tohru comes into their lives. Not only does she give many of them the courage to stand up for themselves, but she also acts as a catalyst to breaking their curse. None of them thought they would ever achieve their dreams, but thanks to Tohru, their dreams finally came true.

She even manages to fall in love in the process.

Not to mention, magical girls who fall into despair become witches themselves. It's only natural that the kind Madoka would want to save all the magical girls, and that becomes her only goal. Luckily for magical girls everywhere, she gets Kyuubey to grant her the ability to destroy witches before they appear, which helps her save magical girls everywhere.
