There are many characters in anime who are admired for their kindness. But some characters go overboard when it comes to their selflessness, often seeming overly naïve or putting themselves and others at risk. When characters are too kind, there are almost always other characters who are more than willing to exploit that kindness for their own benefit.

As a result, these characters often need to be protected by others since they won't always prioritize their own well-being. Kindness can backfire in many ways, and unfortunately, given the fact that these characters put their lives on the line for others, they do not always survive.

It wasn't until it was too late that George realized how twisted Dio was, who tormented his son and even tried to kill George. George eventually died protecting his son Jonathan from an attack from Dio.

Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez stepped in and killed them for her, but Orihime stepped in and saved their lives. Rather than being grateful, the Arrancar went back to attacking her later.

In fact, she chose to live in a tent at the beginning of the series to avoid inconveniencing her family. She is oftentimes seen putting on a bright smile or keeping her worries to herself, although she is slowly learning to open up to others more.

Professional Heroes are expected to risk their lives saving innocent civilians from various dangers. There have been many cases in which heroes have died in an attempt to perform a rescue. Deku is just as selfless, often pushing his body to its absolute limits.
