Everybody has a hobby, and anime characters are certainly no exception. A character's hobby can either be a trivial piece of information or a vital aspect of their character. While some prefer keeping their hobbies a secret from others, some take pride in their pastimes.
Knowing that our favorite characters have seemingly mundane hobbies makes them seem more relatable, especially if they often deal with extreme situations. Some characters are diehard otakus, while others prefer exercising their creativity in their free time. Regardless, their hobbies are fun, and some of us even share the same hobbies with our favorite characters.

Souma Yukihira is the protagonist of Food Wars. His hobby is cooking, and he even turned it into a profession. Souma actually started cooking at a young age since his dad is a cook, as well. He grew up working in his dad's restaurant, and he's been hooked on creating delicacies every since.
Souma is always driven to improve his cooking and never backs down from a challenge. Souma always proves his creativity in the kitchen. He enjoys creating brand-new dishes that nobody's ever seen before.

Umaru gets immersed in these fictional worlds, leaving Taihei to deal with household chores. While Umaru is certainly immature and childish, there's no denying that her hobbies are fun.

Before discovering the joy in painting, Yatora wandered aimlessly through life without rhyme or reason. However, art gave him a purpose.

Before getting picked up bu the Noukin High School kabaddi club, Tatsuya Yoigoshi quit all sports. He became jaded from playing soccer in middle school. After giving up on sports, Yoigoshi started live-streaming online. He wasn't the most popular, but he had a solid following.
Because of his reputation in soccer, Kei Iura infiltrated Tatsuya's comment section to coerce him into joining the club. Kei even offered to buy Tatsuya more followers if he joined the kabaddi club. If Tatsuya was willing to enter a new club to get more followers, he must love live-streaming quite a bit.

Jotaro Likes Reading Books About Planes & Ships (Jojo's Bizarre Adventure)
Though Jotaro Kujo is known for his delinquent sense of fashion and rough-around-the-edges demeanor, his hobbies are surprisingly mundane. Perhaps these hobbies actually make sense, however, given that Jotaro earned a Ph.D. in marine biology.
Aside from Jotaro's interest in dolphins, starfish, and all creatures that reside under the sea, he also enjoys reading about planes and ships. Even though he survived multiple plane crashes because of Joseph's poor pilot skills and bad luck, Jotaro was never turned off from studying various types of aircraft.

Even though both of Kyoka's parents are successful musicians, she wanted to take the path of heroism instead. However, Kyoka still loves music — particularly, rock music.
Her room is full of various instruments, and she's proficient enough that she even taught a few classmates how to play. After some coercion from Denki Kaminari and a few of her other Class 1-A peers, Kyoka led their band performance during the school festival. Even though she wanted to keep her hobby a secret, Kyoka's talent stole the show at the festival.

Even though he was ridiculed as a kid for his passions, Wakana Gojo from My Dress-Up Darling still loves making Hina dolls. After meeting Marin, he found that he enjoys creating cosplay outfits. The two go hand-in-hand since Wakana would have to make outfits for the Hina dolls.
He was shocked when he found out just how talented he was at crafting cosplay outfits. Wakana is also gifted at makeup, and his grandfather even pointed out that his cosplay makeup skills helped him improve painting the faces of the dolls.
3 Yuji Likes Karaoke, Watching TV, And Doing Impersonations (Jujutsu Kaisen)
It's no secret that Yuji Itadori is just a fun-loving guy all the way around, so his hobbies make sense. He enjoys doing karaoke, watching TV, and doing impressions. Though his love for karaoke hasn't made a cameo in Jujutsu Kaisen yet, we've already seen how much he enjoys watching movies during Satoru's cursed energy training.
When he ate dinner with Junpei and his mother, Yuji broke the ice by doing an impression from the movie Castaway and joking about Wilson. The impression was so funny that Junpei even spits out his drink.

Though Reki's primary love is skateboarding, he's shown great passion for customizing boards and making new ones from scratch. Reki is always excited to talk about skateboarding, and sometimes his passion overwhelms others. He's pretty knowledgeable about crafting skateboards, and he can find inspiration anywhere.
Reki's got a knack for creating boards catered to each customer's needs, such as when he got the idea to put unhinged chair wheels on Langa's board so skating would feel more like snowboarding on the asphalt because of the wheel's rotation.
1 Naruto Likes Pranking Others & Watering Plants
Watering plants has nothing in common with pranking others, except that they're two of Naruto's hobbies. Naruto has always been quite the prankster from the beginning of the series. Though his antics stem from his deep-rooted desire to be acknowledged, Naruto deserves some credit for being creative enough to think up such elaborate pranks.
While his other hobby is entirely unrelated, it's actually endearing how much Naruto cares for plants. In Konoha Hiden, it was revealed that Naruto doesn't just water his plants; he talks to them while doing so.
