Anime openings have become one of the most anticipated parts of an anime. Compared to cartoons that only have a few seconds of opening to show on television, anime shows a minute's worth of animation and music. It can either be stylish to fit the show's atmosphere or have music fans will have on repeat for the next few months.

However, openings have also become the culprit of many spoilers for the anime and cause some to skip it entirely. Which anime openings have the most spoilers, exactly? We've got you covered. This list is going to tell you about 10 openings that accidentally spoiled the story in their openings. And since we're talking about spoilers, beware of reading if you're watching any series on this list.

10 PERSONA 4: THE ANIMATION

Persona 4: The Animation aired in Fall 2014. Based on the popular PS2 video game of the Persona series, the opening was one of the things most fans were excited about since all of the Persona music are bops. The opening theme was "Pursuing My True Self" by Shihoko Hirata, a tune with a great baseline that fits the atmosphere of the anime.

The opening spoils Naoto Shirogane, as well as the identity of the kidnapping victims. In the anime, she's introduced as a detective working under the case of Inaba's Murders and isn't present during the first half of the series, but the opening shows her using her Persona like the others, making the mystery pointless.

9 FUSHIGI YUUGI: THE MYSTERIOUS PLAY

Miaka and the cast of Fushigi Yugi pose together

The opening theme of Fushigi Yuugi was "For My Darling" by Akemi Satou. After best friends Miaka and Yui are sucked into a book set in China, they become the priestess of their respective countries and must find a way to summon their Gods. The opening spoiled quite a bit.

For one, it showed all of the heroes together. The guardians are gathered slowly throughout the series and suspense is added by stating an agent is amidst them, but it falls short when the opening makes it clear. It also depicts how Yui becomes the antagonist, showing her in the mirror separated from Miaka, and Yui with one of her guardians, Nakago.

8 BLACK BUTLER: BOOK OF CIRCUS

Black Butler: Book of Circus is a more faithful adaption of the manga and was released in Summer 2014. The opening was sung by SID, the band who also sang the 1st season's opening, "Monochrome Kiss." The song for this anime was called "ENAMEL."

We're welcomed by Joker, the Ringleader, as well as shown the members of the Noah's Arc Circus troupe throughout the opening, each fulfilling their respective roles. During the second half of the opening, it shows the circus trope fighting against Ciel and Sebastian as well as how they infiltrate the Phantomhive Mansion, alluding to their fates.

7 EDEN OF THE EAST

Eden of the East has a lot of spoilers hidden in the opening that show characters' fates. The series has two openings: the original one is called "FALLING DOWN" by Oasis while the Funimation version is called "Michael or Belial." Whichever opening you heard, the visuals stayed the same.

Within the opening, it depicts The Seleção along with Roman numerals. If you watch closely, you can see I, IV and X all fade away in that exact order as well as lines reaching out to the other numbers. Although subtle, there's a connection in which order the numbers disappear that hints at their fate.

6 EUREKA SEVEN: PSALM OF PLANETS

Eureka Seven: Psalms of Planets holds spoilers you wouldn't know until you get to that point in the series. The theme song is "Days" by FLOW. Renton and Eureka don't fall in love until later in the series after Renton's departure, but the opening shows they're going to get along better in the future.

We're also shown shots of Renton's deceased sister, Eureka being born as a Coralian, Anemone and the medication she takes laying in a puddle of blood on the floor. The most prominent spoiler would be showing Renton and Eureka under the layer of the Scrub Coral with Nirvash.

5 FUTURE DIARY

Future Diary gives away every major plot point in a minute, but that's only if you were paying attention because of how subtle each one was. Also, some were only noticeable if you read the manga. The opening was "Fantasy Mythology" by Fairy Empire.

The most noticeable one is Yuno fighting herself. This is a major plot twist about how Yuno murdered herself in a parallel timeline so she could take her place to be with Yuki in a new one. The opening also depicts the weapons of each diary holder dissolve or become a bloody mess, hinting at their deaths throughout the series.

4 YOUR LIE IN APRIL

Your Lie in April has spoilers in the opening that aren't apparent, but once you realize everything, it becomes one of the most heartbreaking openings in anime. The theme song is "If It Glows" by Goose House, a gentle and upbeat tune fitting for some oncoming sadness.

There's a lot of symbolism and foreshadowing within it, beginning from start to finish and giving you a fresh set of eyes after you realize what it all means. The depiction of the white birds and Kaori falling hint at her death. It hits hard especially at the end when the white bird flies off into the sky.

3 PUELLA MAGI MADOKA MAGICA

Puella Magi Madoka Magica has an opening and a song riddled with spoilers. The theme was "Connect" by ClariS. The song is lighthearted to anyone who hears it the first time, but after a few episodes into the series, you realize it was all a lie.

The opening shows Madoka as a magical girl already, showing she made a contract with Kyubey. And perhaps the biggest spoiler is the lyrics. You realize the song is sung from Homura's point of view near the end of the series, which is about how she refuses to give up on stopping Madoka from becoming a magical girl.

2 BAKEMONOGATARI & MONOGATARI SERIES: SECOND SEASON (NADEKO OPENINGS)

Bakemonogatari is an abstract anime with even more confusing openings. We're going to be talking about Nadeko's openings from the 1st and the 2nd season. The first opening is "Love Circulation" while the second is "Delusion Express" both sang in-character by Kana Hanazawa.

While the first opening showed Nadeko acting adorable, the second one takes a darker approach. They are both flipped the opposite way and play in reverse. The black lines also represent the snakes, hinting at her becoming a Snake God, and a lyric shows her yandere personality: "if things don't go my way, this world is unnecessary."

1 ERASED

We have Erased to take the final spot. The opening was "Re:Re:" by Asian Kung-fu Generation, a group known for other catchy tunes like the beloved "Far and Beyond" from Naruto. The title of the song is an appropriate one, being as how Satoru can send himself back in time whenever an accident happens and must repeat it until it's prevented.

The opening shows the fate of Satoru and what happens to him, such as the school being flooded. The opening also has a unique easter egg: with each episode, the gunshot that sounds off near the minute mark lasts an extra frame and the picture of the killer becomes more visible, spoiling the murderer's identity.
