Since her days as a member of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, Scarlet Witch has gone on to become one of Marvel's most iconic superheroes of all time, with her popularity having been boosted thanks to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, a new fan animation manages to capture the sheer power of Wanda Maximoff, while also evoking memories of the 1990s.The video -- which uses the frame of the Marvel Universe Series II trading cards from 1991 -- begins with a blank background before Scarlet Witch descends from above.
She then begins charging up a blast of mystical energy before firing a massive hex bolt that covers the whole screen. As the energy clears and the video comes to its end, Scarlet Witch is shown to have vanished.
Scarlet Witch's next MCU appearance will be in the WandaVision limited series, which stars Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany as Scarlet Witch and Vision, with Jac Schaeffer serving as showrunner. Also joining the cast are Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Kathryn Hahn in an undisclosed role. The series arrives on Disney+ in spring 2021.
