A campaign to boycott Warner Bros. is trending on Twitter as fans of the DC Extended Universe make their feelings known.

Using the hashtag #BoycottWB, fans have expressed their disappointment and anger about a myriad of issues less than 24-hours after the premiere of the DCEU's first HBO Max series, Peacemaker. Many fans are still angry at the treatment of Justice League star Ray Fisher, who made allegations of "abusive, unprofessional and completely unacceptable" behavior against director Joss Whedon.

The effect playing Batman had on the mental health of actor Ben Affleck was also a hot issue after Affleck recently spoke about his reasons for leaving The Batman.

Other fans are angry at how their favorite DC comics characters and properties have been treated on film by Warner Bros., with accusations that the studio isn't serving its fans. The changes made to Justice League after director Zack Snyder left the production and the pivot away from a "SnyderVerse" were also a hot topic, especially after rumors suggested that all Snyder movies would be erased from the DCEU continuity. These rumors were later reportedly debunked by The Flash star Ezra Miller.

There is also anger at both the news and the timing of the announcement that Justice League producer Geoff Johns will be returning to DC Comics for Flashpoint Beyond, a follow-up to Johns' alternative-universe series Flashpoint. Even Ray Fisher commented on the news.

Although Whedon's conduct on the set of Justice League and its reshoots formed the majority of Fisher's complaints, he also accused Johns and President of DC Films Walter Hamada of enabling Whedon's behavior. Fisher has continued to stand his ground on his claims and push for accountability at Warner Bros., even "celebrating" the one-year anniversary of a conversation he had with Hamada about the studio's investigation. In a tweet, Fisher said that Hamada and Warner Bros. "failed to bury the truth about Justice League" and "failed to bury me with lies in the trades."

Ben Affleck was also vocal about his bad experience of playing Bruce Wayne/Batman during the Justice League shoot, blaming both personal issues and the pressure he felt. The tragic death of Snyder's daughter during filming also had a huge affect on the Batman actor. "That was a bad experience because of a confluence of things: my own life, my divorce, being away too much, the competing agendas and then Zack's personal tragedy... and the reshooting. It just was the worst experience," explained Affleck.
