"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star Andy Samberg will host the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards, which will air live Sept. 20 on Fox.

“Buckle your seat belts, Emmy viewers!,” Samberg said in a statement. “Like, in general you should buckle your seat belts in your car. In fact, even if you’re not an Emmy viewer, you should buckle your seat belt. It can be dangerous on the road. Also, if you’re not an Emmy viewer, you should strongly consider becoming one this year, because I’m hosting, and it’s gonna be a wild ride. So buckle your seat belts.”

An Emmy winner for the 2007 "Saturday Night Live" viral sensation "Dick in a Box," Samberg has headlined Fox's "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" for the past two seasons (the comedy has been renewed for a third). With Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone, he forms The Lonely Island comedy group, which in January 2014 signed a multi-year development deal with the network.

Emmy Awards nominations will be announced July 10.
