Lucasfilm's latest Star Wars installment Andor is engrossing fans with its espionage thriller themes combined with the typical action viewers expect in a galaxy far, far away. The story is well-written, and the CGI is immaculate. Andor adds depth to Diego Luna's character, a hero of the rebellion who triggers the events of the original trilogy.

The Disney+ show is giving audiences a lot of firsts in the Star Wars universe, from the first curse word to the backstory of the Rebel Alliance. However, Andor hasn't offered many cameos from Star Wars characters. There are plenty of familiar faces that could still appear.

This article contains major spoilers for Andor.

10 Insert Dave Filoni Into The Galaxy Again

Dave Filoni as Trapper Wolf flying his x-wing in The Mandalorian.

Dave Filoni's contribution to the Star Wars franchise is incomparable to anyone besides George Lucas. Between his immersive storytelling, engaging character development, and expansive world-building, Filoni is a fan favorite to take the reins at Lucasfilm whenever Kathleen Kennedy's tenure is up.

Not including Filoni is a missed opportunity, even with a brief appearance. Showrunners could cast him as a young version of the same pilot he played in The Mandalorian or put him in a Storm Trooper uniform. Either way, it would be a missed opportunity to leave Filoni out of Andor.

9 Star Wars Fan Ambassador, Senator Bail Organa

Bail Organa from Rogue One.

Andor dives into the beginning stages of the rebellion against the Empire. The story revolves around the small rebel cells and the primary leaders who oversaw the coordinated attacks fans see in A New Hope. The early life of the rebellion was not so organized.

With a better understanding of Mon Mothma's position in the fight against the Empire, Senator Bail Organa is just as essential against Imperial forces. The fact that he's had cameos in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Obi-Wan Kenobi only makes a Jimmy Smits cameo more likely.

8 Orson Krennic In The Early Stages Of The Death Star

Director Krennic with his thumb on his chin in Rogue One.

Tony Gilroy has proven himself as a writer and producer of thrilling stories like the Jason Bourne saga and The Devil's Advocate. He was a co-writer on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and brought Cassian Jeron Andor to the small screen with unbridled photorealism. It would be exciting to see Rogue One's prequel villain, Orson Krennic.

At this point in the Star Wars universe in 5 BBY, Krennic is likely working his way up the Empire's ranks. Fans know the Death Star began the initial stages of construction at the end of Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Fans would not argue with a Ben Mendelsohn cameo to conclude the season or series.

7 Princess Leia, Leader In Training

Princess Leia with a Rebellion soldier in Rogue One.

Princess Leia served as an Apprentice Legislator in the Star Wars comics before the dissolution of the Galactic Senate and the complete takeover by Emperor Palpatine. Two years before the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Mon Mothma attended Leia Organa's Day of Demand at the Royal Palace of Alderaan and dinner parties serving as rebel strategy sessions.

The plot of Andor revolves heavily around Mon Mothma as she slowly begins expanding her message of rebellion to more people. She introduced Leia to the Rebel Alliance, so her cameo wouldn't be out of the question. The only question would be who would play the young adult Skywalker.

6 Another Quick Background Clip Of C-3PO

C3PO in Obi-Wan Kenobi series.

It wouldn't be Star Wars without the appearance of droids. In the opening episode of Andor, the show introduces Cassian's family droid, B2EMO. The droid's experience and rough life cause a slight stutter, and he admitted it takes more power to lie. But that doesn't mean Andor can't show a familiar droid.

Obi-Wan Kenobi established that C-3PO is at the service of Bail Organa. And as the Rebel Alliance leadership begins to make plans in the first season of Andor, chances of a C-3PO cameo increase. It's not outside the realm of possibility to get a vocal cameo by Anthony Daniels.

5 A Quick Roll-by From R2-D2

R2-D2 from Star Wars.

If Andor decides to provide a brief appearance by C-3PO, it would be a travesty not to include R2-D2. The little R2 unit played a crucial role throughout the rise of Senator Palpatine, the Clone Wars, and the establishment of the Galactic Empire.

R2-D2 is the most frequently appearing character in Star Wars. Most of what happens in the plot of the Skywalker Saga cannot occur without R2. Andor is setting the early stages of the Rebel Alliance, and a chance to show R2-D2 roll by Cassian at some point is a missed opportunity.

4 Another Appearance Of Darth Vader

Darth Vader and Reva Hologram in Star Wars.

James Earl Jones announced his retirement as the voice of Darth Vader. Disney recruited an AI company to gather sound bites of Vader's lines to create artificial vocals of the legendary actor. Hayden Christensen returned as Anakin Skywalker for a rematch with Obi-Wan Kenobi in the recent series.

Lucasfilms is primed for more appearances by the popular movie villain that will hopefully match Rogue One's stunning final act. Fans hope to see the Dark Lord's appearance in the upcoming Ahsoka series. During the time of Andor, most people believe the Jedi are extinct. Vader may have a few plans for the ever-growing sympathy for rebel cells.

3 Emperor Palpatine's Looming Presence

Emperor Palpatine using Force Lightning in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.

By Episode 7 of Andor, Wullf Yularen, a background character in A New Hope and returning character in The Clone Wars series, mentions speaking with Emperor Palpatine. It's the first time the show directly references The Emperor and possibly sets up a brief cameo.

True fans of Star Wars can't get enough of Ian McDiarmid. In A New Hope, the Emperor is referenced, but he has no appearance until The Empire Strikes Back as a hologram. Since Andor deals directly with the Galactic Senate, it would surprise no one to get a brief cameo of Emperor Palpatine.

2 Saw Gerrera's Extremist Part To Play

Forest Whitaker as Saw Gerrera from Star Wars.

The Rebel Alliance is at its early stages, and Andor is carefully constructing the path to all-out rebellion. Through the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Cassian becomes a trusted intelligence officer for the rebels within five years. That's a short time to establish the primary leaders of the rebellion.

Since one of the writers of Rogue One produces Andor, there's a good chance fans will see one of the more extremist cells fighting against the Empire. Saw had a frequent presence during The Clone Wars. Andor would miss the opportunity to tell more of Gerrera's story at the height of the Galactic Empire.

1 K-2SO's Origin Story

K-2SO from Rogue One with Stormtroopers in the background.

Perhaps no Star Wars character is more anticipated for a cameo than the droid that becomes Cassian's most trusted partner. Episode 7 of Andor shows a couple of KX units, one of whom brings Andor to justice for a crime he didn't commit with an unwarranted nine-year sentence.

In Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, K-2SO tells Jyn Erso that he is a reprogrammed Imperial droid. The film never says when it happened, who reprogrammed him, or what part he played since the reprogramming. Andor is the perfect opportunity to reveal K2's origin story and give audiences more Alan Tudyk.
