It was announced this week that "Angel" alum Amy Acker is set to appear on "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." as Agent Coulson's cellist ex-girlfriend Audrey, who was first mentioned in "The Avengers." Marvel.com has debuted the first photo of Acker as Audrey (along with her cello) as well as the actress' thoughts about coming on to the show as well as what to expect from her appearance.

"There's a lot of talk [in the episode] about how it was when they were together. I think that one of the biggest things that they keep bringing up when she talks about him is how he made her laugh, and just the trust that she had for him," Acker told Marvel.com. "I [don't] think anyone would have a hard time falling in love with Coulson, there's probably a long line of people with that already. It just seems like they really had a real, honest connection. I know it sounds cheesy, but [they] really [had] a soulmate-type vibe."

Those who hope to see more of Audrey may be in luck, as Acker indicates there's a chance for her to come back to the show after her initial appearance.

"It seems like these two people are meant to be together and their story hasn't really been told. The way that it ends in this episode, it seems like there's a glimmer of hope that they may be together again or something like that. I feel like it's sort of destiny for their paths to cross in some way."

Currently starring in "Person of Interest," Acker has a long history with projects created by Joss Whedon, including "Angel" and "Dollhouse," where she also worked with current "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." showrunners Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancheroen. No further details were given about when Acker might appear in "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," but it's likely more details will surface as the show returns with new episodes on April 1.
