'American Horror Story: Hotel' Debuts First Cast Trailer

FX has unveiled the long-waited first cast trailer for "American Horror Story: Hotel," the fifth season of the hit anthology series from Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk.

Premiering Oct. 7, the latest edition is set in Los Angeles' Cortez Hotel, owned by the mysterious Countess (Lady Gaga), who lives on “a healthy diet of sex and blood." When LAPD Detective John Lowe (Wes Bentley) receives an enigmatic tip about the series of murders committed by the Ten Commandments Killer, he moves into the hotel to investigate, but will soon wish he hadn't.

Lady Gaga and Bentley are joined by returning cast members Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Denis O'Hare, Lily Rabe, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Angela Bassett, Chloë Sevigny, Finn Wittrock, Mare Winningham and Matt Bomer, as well as franchise newcomers like Naomi Campbell, Cheyenne Jackson, Max Greenfield and Darren Criss.

"American Horror Story: Hotel" opens Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
