Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk's American Horror Story kicked off its (almost) ten-season legacy back in 2011 with Murder House. The first season focused on the Harmon family starting fresh in Los Angeles after some messy family drama. However, once arriving, they discovered the many ghosts and secrets that were at the house first. Most chiefly among them was the now-infamous Rubber Man. While Murder House revealed the mysterious figure as Evan Peters' Tate Langdon, he wasn't the only character to wear the rubber suit.

Now, the spin-off series American Horror Stories has reintroduced the Rubber Man. While the person inside the suit is likely still Tate, let's review each of the characters that donned the suit in AHS in order of appearance.

Chad Warwick

American Horror Story - Murder House Chad Warwick

Zachary Quinto's Chad Warwick was responsible for bringing the rubber suit into the home in the first place. As a Murder House resident in 2010, Chad went to an S&M shop to purchase the suit to spice up his sex life with his partner Patrick (Teddy Sears). Chad had discovered Patrick was having an affair with someone he met in a BDSM chatroom. However, Patrick was not impressed with the suit, saying he prefers leather to latex. Unfortunately for them, Tate murdered them wearing the suit bought in an attempt to rekindle the couple's love.

Tate Langdon

American Horror Story - Tate Langdon as Rubber Man

Tate is synonymous with the rubber suit for AHS fans simply because he is the true Rubber Man. Tate (now a ghost) acquired the suit from Chad and Patrick. He'd promised the home's original owner, Nora Montgomery, that he'd get her a baby. Sensing Chad and Patrick's relationship was troubled, he took it upon himself to brutally murder them while wearing the suit to make room for a new family.

Not long after the Harmons moved in, Tate donned the suit once more. He raped and impregnated Vivien (Connie Britton), who initially mistook Tate for her husband, to fulfill his promise to Nora. Toward the end of Murder House, Tate engaged in a scuffle with Ben (Dylan McDermott), where Ben unmasked the evil high schooler as the Rubber Man. The startling revelation ultimately brought an end to Violet (Taissa Farmiga) and Tate's relationship, as Tate raping her mother horrified and repulsed Violet.

Ben Harmon

American Horror Story - Ben Harmon versus the Rubber Man

Ben Harmon wore the rubber suit twice in AHS: Murder House. After discovering the rubber suit upon moving in, Ben briefly put it on to playfully seduce his wife -- although his advances were shut down, and he tossed it in the trash. Later, following Ben's death, the Ramos family moved in. With so much evil in the house, the Harmons and some other benevolent ghosts planned to scare the Ramos family away to prevent another tragedy. As such, Ben stepped back into the rubber suit to terrifying Stacy Ramos.

Michael Langdon

American Horror Story - Apocalypse Michael Langdon

Along with AHS: Murder House, the rubber suit also appeared in Apocalypse. Cody Fern's Michael Langdon, the evil half-human, half-ghost offspring of Vivien and Tate, also stayed at the Murder House. There, he bonded with Ben Harmon. However, when a new couple moved in, Michael put on the rubber suit and killed them, much like his father. Later, at Outpost 3, Michael conducted a satanic ritual to conjure and animate the Rubber Man. This demonic Rubber Man had sex with Evan Peters' Mr. Gallant, who proceeded to repeatedly stab the Rubber Man, thinking it was Michael. However, Mr. Gallant actually stabbed his grandmother to death under the guise of an illusion Michael enacted.
