Premiering in 2011, Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk's American Horror Story has explored a variety of horror settings and themes across its nine seasons, thanks to the show's unique anthology format. Due to the franchise's enduring popularity, Murphy seeks to traverse more horror content through the upcoming spin-off series, American Horror Stories.

What Is American Horror Stories' Plot?

The plot of American Horror Stories has not officially been released. While the spin-off series will follow in the footsteps of its predecessor, its anthology style will take on a different format. As such, each episode is expected to be its own unique ghost story. Murphy confirmed American Horror Stories will feature 16 one-hour, standalone episodes that explore "horror myths, legends and lore." The series hints at a return of the creepy, latex suit villain (later revealed as Evan Peters' Tate Langdon) from American Horror Story: Murder House.

Along with Evan Peters, AHS regular set to appear include Matt Bomer, Taissa Farmiga, Naomi Grossman and Billie Lourd. Murphy also announced on Instagram American Horror Stories' newcomers include Kevin McHale, Dyllon Burnside, Charles Melton and Nico Greetham, which he playfully dubbed "The Fantastic Four." TV Guide reported that AHS star Sarah Paulson will be directing at least one episode, although it's unknown if she will also be appearing.

Does American Horror Stories Have A Trailer?

American Horror Stories dropped a teaser trailer June 25. The teaser features Rubber Woman, a female version of the Rubber Man from American Horror Story: Murder House. She starts in a field before entering a terrifying-looking house. Inside, she passes by all manner of horrors, including ghosts, a spider-looking creature and a man wielding an ex. The trailer concludes with the Rubber Woman seemingly killing the Rubber Man. Murphy has posted several teaser images featuring this Rubber Woman. However, it's unknown what role she will play in American Horror Stories or if she's just a mascot.

American Horror Stories' official trailer debuted on July 8. Along with the aforementioned Rubber Woman, the trailer spotlights a menacing-looking Santa Clause and a minotaur creature. Some familiar ghosts are also returning, including what appears to be Murder House's Piggy Man and Thaddeus Montgomery, Charles and Nora Montgomery's Frankenstein-like baby.
