Nope, your calendar isn't lying to you -- this year's Comic-Con International in San Diego really is less than a month away. As such, we're in the midst of the usual cavalcade of pre-event hype, and CBR has the latest -- in the form of two convention-exclusive variant covers from Dark Horse Comics.

American Gods: Shadows #1 will receive a convention variant from the man who very well might be the comic book industry's premier variant cover artist -- Skottie Young. Fábio Moon, artist of Casanova, has illustrated a Black Hammer #1 convention variant, which is an homage to Kevin Maguire's oft-referenced Justice League #1 cover.

Both comics will be available at Dark Horse's booth (#2615) for $10, and are limited to 1,400 copies and five per person per day. They will be available first at Comic-Con, and if supplies remain, will be sold at subsequent conventions attended by Dark Horse.

American Gods: Shadows debuted in March 2017, timed to coincide roughly with the debut of the American Gods TV show on Starz. The issue was written by Neil Gaiman and P. Craig Russell, with art by Scott Hampton. Black Hammer debuted in 2016, from writer Jeff Lemire and artist Dean Ormston.

EXCLUSIVE: Fábio Moon's Black Hammer #1 variant cover.

This year's Comic-Con International takes place from July 19 to July 23 at the the San Diego Convention Center.
