WARNING: The following contains spoilers for American Gods Season 3, Episode 6, “Conscience of the King,” which aired Sunday on Starz.

Mr. World, played by Crispin Glover, has been a primary antagonist for American Gods since Season 1; however, he has gone through a handful of changes in Season 3, starting back in "Serious Moonlight." Deciding to switch things up, Mr. World becomes Ms. World, played by Dominique Jackson, but even this doesn't last forever.

While World briefly returned to his original form in order to confront Bilquis a few episodes ago, she goes back to being Ms. World afterwards, and "Conscience of the King," sees her briefly in this form until she grows upset over Technical Boy going off line. Technical Boy's been glitching out recently; therefore, he has been ignoring his duties for the New Gods. He is key in Ms. World's plan to build a church of the mind, so this infuriates her, so much so that she takes on a new form once more.

After listening to her subordinates try brush off Technical Boy's disappearance, Ms. World becomes a Mr. World portrayed by Danny Trejo. He is tired of the excuses and threatens to dispose of his subordinates unless they can get him Technical Boy. Thankfully for them, Technical Boy arrives, and the two gods hash it out.

Technical Boy is worried about what's happening to him, and while Mr. World reassures him that he is his most important child, moments later, Mr. World is on the phone with someone and talking about how Technical Boy is unreliable because of the state he is in. He also alludes to how he is hiding something from the New God.

It's also during this call that Mr. World discusses Laura Moon, who's recently come back to life again. He knows she's looking to cause some trouble for Mr. Wednesday, as she plans on killing the god out of vengeance, taking Salim along for the ride. Since Mr. Wednesday is one of the biggest threats for the New Gods, she could be a potential ally for Mr. World, so he seeks her out.

After discovering that Blood Death's memorial has been canceled, Laura and Salim do not have a lead on Mr. Wednesday. For better or worse, Mr. World then arrives on the scene, telling them that they have a common enemy. It's unclear how this conversation will go, but with Laura dead set on ending Wednesday and down on her luck, it's possible that she'd accept the help of Mr. World, regardless of his villainous plans.

Based on the Neil Gaiman novel of the same name, American Gods stars Ricky Whittle, Emily Browning, Bruce Langley, Yetide Badaki, Ian McShane, Omid Abtahi and Ashley Reyes. The series airs Sundays at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on Starz.
