Additional casting for Season 3 of American Gods is steadily ramping up, with Danny Trejo and Wale being the latest to join the Starz series.

According to EW, Trejo will guest-star as one of the many forms of Mr. World as the war between the Old Gods and the New continues to rage on. Meanwhile, rapper Wale will play an Orisha named Chango, who will prove very important to Shadow as a guide to his past.

Also joining the Season 3 cast is Saturday Night Live alum Julia Sweeney, who'll play Ann-Marie Hinzelmann and welcome the gods as they head to a place that is extremely important in the Neil Gaiman universe, Lakeside, Wisconsin. There, she recruits Lakeside’s Chief of Police Chad Mulligan (Eric Johnson).

All three of these new cast members will join fellow series newcomer Marilyn Manson, who will play Johan Wengren, the lead singer of a band called Blood Death.

Based on the Neil Gaiman novel of the same name, American Gods stars Ricky Whittle, Emily Browning, Pablo Schreiber, Crispin Glover, Bruce Langley, Yetide Badaki, Ian McShane, Mousa Kraish, Kahyun Kim, Demore Barnes, Orlando Jones and Chris Obi. Season 3 began filming on Oct. 9 and will premiere some time next year.
