In a new post on Instagram, Amell shared a photo of him and Padalecki having a drink together. He captioned the photo, which sees the duo smiling, "The 1st meeting of the Actors who are soon to be unemployed support group went great."
Arrow, which is currently in Season 7, was revealed to be ending after the previously-announced "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover later this year. While the end of that DC series had been rumored for some time, the end of Supernatural, which has been on air for 15 seasons, was a dramatic surprise.
Since both series film in Vancouver, Amell and Padalecki, as well as his Supernatural co-star, Jensen Ackles, have reportedly become quite close and often shared photos together on social media throughout the years. It remains to be seen what these stars will do after Arrow and Supernatural end.
However, both actors may still have a home on the CW for years to come -- if they want, of course. The CW still seems keen on developing a Supernatural spin-off series, where Padalecki (and Ackles) could always potentially make a cameo.
Similarly, the end of Arrow doesn't mean that Amell won't have a future with the Arrowverse since shows like Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash and Supergirl are still airing, and Batwoman likely set to join them soon.
Airing Mondays at 8 pm ET/PT on The CW, Arrow stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, David Ramsey as John Diggle, Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak, Rick Gonzalez as Wild Dog, Juliana Harkavy as Black Canary, Colton Haynes as Arsenal, Kirk Acevedo as Diaz and Katie Cassidy as Black Siren.
Airing Thursdays at 8 pm ET/PT on The CW, Supernatural stars Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins and Alexander Calvert. The Season 14 finale airs on Thursday, April 25.
