Following a handful of character shots released on Friday, The Huffington Post has debuted 17 new portraits for the third season of AMC's The Walking Dead featuring everyone from Danai Gurira as the fan-favorite Michonne to Chandler Riggs as Carl Grimes to Michael Rooker as the returning Merle Dixon.

Premiering Oct. 14, Season 3 follows Rick and the other survivors as they come across the West Georgia Correctional Facility — aka the Prison — and hope that it can be the safe haven from the undead that they’ve been hoping for. But things aren’t as they appear, as it turns out that a greater threat looms in the form of the leader of the nearby town of Woodbury, The Governor.

The Walking Dead also stars Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes, Sarah Wayne Callies as Lori Grimes, Norman Reedus as Daryl Dixon, Melissa McBride as Carol Peletier, IronE Singleton as T-Dog Douglas, Emily Kinney as Beth Greene, Scott Wilson as Hershel Greene, Lauren Cohan as Maggie Greene, Steve Yeun as Glenn, David Morrissey as The Governor and Laurie Holden as Andrea.
