With the season finale for The Walking Dead coming up this weekend, fans will have a two-month wait before they can start enjoying their zombie apocalypse fix again. AMC just announced the Fear the Walking Dead Season 5 premiere is arriving at the start of June.

According to Deadline, the official premiere date for the new season of Fear the Walking Dead is on June 2 at 9 PM ET/8 PM CT. This date is also the premiere for the new AMC horror series NOS4A2, based on the novel by Joe Hill, which will air immediately following Fear.

Morgan Jones (Lennie James) has pretty much taken over as the lead of this group of survivors since almost everyone from the first season has now died. Also joining the cast this season is Austin Amelio as Dwight, the second crossover star from the original Walking Dead series.

The fourth season of Fear the Walking Dead introduced some brand-new characters, and showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg completely reinvented what the show was about. With the changes, the show ranked fourth among drama series on cable in the 18-49 demo.

Here is a look at the synopsis for season 5:

The group’s mission is clear: locate survivors and help make what’s left of the world a slightly better place. With dogged determination, Morgan Jones (James) leads the group with a philosophy rooted in benevolence, community and hope. Each character believes that helping others will allow them to make up for the wrongs of their pasts. But trust won’t be easily earned. Their mission of helping others will be put to the ultimate test when our group finds themselves in unchartered territory, one which will force them to face not just their pasts but also their fears. It is only through facing those fears that the group will discover an entirely new way to live, one that will leave them forever changed.
