AMC Expands “Walking Dead” Season Finale to 90 Minutes

When “The Walking Dead” wraps its sixth season on April 3, the AMC drama will have a little more time than usual to bring the Alexandria crew’s simmering war with the Saviors to a boil.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the finale will be 90 minutes long rather than the typical 60. Whether that extra time will be spent fleshing out Negan’s (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) yet-to-be-introduced character, or if the anticipated villain will be saved for the final moments remains to be seen.

Last season also expanded its finale to 90 minutes.

The final episode of Season 6 airs Sunday, April 3 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
