The voice cast of Robert Kirkman's upcoming animated series adapting his popular Image Comics series, Invincible, features several very familiar names.

Steven Yeun and Khary Payton, who also starred in the adaptation of Kirkman's acclaimed survival horror series The Walking Dead, have been cast in Amazon's adaptation of Invincible in currently undisclosed roles. They join an all-star cast including Zazie Beetz, Zachary Quinto, Clancy Brown, Jason Mantzoukas, Gillian Jacobs, Andrew Rannells and Chris Diamantopoulos.

The Invincible adaptation received a straight-to-series order from Amazon this past June for an eight-episode animated series. A premiere date for the series has not yet been announced.

Created by Kirkman and Cory Walker in 2003, with Walker replaced by Ryan Ottley starting with Invincible #8, the Image Comics/Skybound Entertainment series ran for 144 issues concluding this past February. The series followed a fledging superhero as he progressed from teen hero to Earth's greatest defender as the planet faced a devastating alien invasion.
