Amazon Prime has announced the complete cast for The Wheel of Time, its upcoming adaptation of Robert Jordan’s fantasy novels.

The cast consists of Rosamund Pike as Moiraine; Josha Stradowski as Rand al’Thor; Marcus Rutherford as Perrin Aybara; Zoë Robins as Nynaeve; Barney Harris as Mat Cauthon; and Madeleine Madden as Egwene Al’Vere. The official Wheel of Time Twitter account also shared the news, with an individual look at the cast.

Wheel of Time features a world filled with magic, but only women are allowed to have access to it. The story follows Pike's Moiraine as she travels across this magical world with five men and women, with Stradowski's Rand al’Thor destined to become a figure who will either save or doom humanity, known as the Dragon Reborn.

Plans to adapt Jordan's Wheel of Time novel series have been in the works since 2000, though none of the projects ever got off the ground. FXX did air a pilot called "Winter Dragon" in 2015, though the star power of Max Ryan and Billy Zane couldn't save it from a 1:30 AM airing and limited publicity.

Rafe Judkins (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) serves as executive producer and showrunner, and is joined by executive producers Larry Mondragon, Rick Selvage, Ted Field, Mike Weber, Darren Lemke, Marigo Kehoe and Uta Briesewitz.
