Move over Spider-Man, there's a hero in town.

Amazon has released the first full-length trailer for its reboot of The Tick, featuring a look at the new costumes of the title character and Arthur, and Jackie Earle Haley's villainous The Terror. As The Tick himself describes it, this is "An epic tale rife with destiny, adventure, blood- loss, and good against evil."

This new iteration of The Tick already seems to keep in line with the gleefully silly live-action series, cartoon and comics of the past past. Its first season will debut in two parts on Amazon Prime beginning Aug. 25. While Patrick Warburton was willing but unavailable to step back into the blue suit, he's on board as a producer alongside creator Ben Edlund. British actor/comedian Peter Serafinowicz (Shaun of the Dead) instead provides The Tick's signature words of heroic wisdom ("Murder -- it's just not cool!").

Despite the trailer's obvious comedic tone, last year's pilot for The Tick already gave a glimpse into a more serious over arching story. "I don’t want it to just be jokes," Edlund told CBR. "And nobody else wants that either, which is weird. The conventional wisdom of almost any other era of television was that we’d reduce things to just jokes. But this is a very different organism, and I’m intrigued by the experiment." This means fleshing out Arthur- The Tick's incredibly put upon sidekick The Moth, played by Griffin Newman. "I think it’s kind of shocking the degree we’re working to make you care about Arthur and his plight and his moods. It’s a hero’s story – particularly the idea that he’s not a fully-formed hero yet. We follow Arthur’s track."

If all of this isn't enough, August will also bring The Tick fans a new comic series by Cullen Bunn and Jimmy Z. Johnston.

Starring Peter Serafinowicz as The Tick, Griffin Newman as Arthur Everest, Valorie Curry as Dot Everest, Brendan Hines as Superian, Jackie Earle Haley as The Terror and Yara Martinez as Ms. Lint, the first part of The Tick's debut season arrives Aug. 25 on Amazon Prime.
