Amazon Prime has released a dangerous new teaser trailer for its upcoming fantasy series, Carnival Row.
The teaser begins with a mysterious murder, with a local man declaring their streets are no longer safe. Next, Rycroft Philostrate (Orlando Bloom) enters as he's told of another killing by a flying winged faerie.
We then learn every three weeks the murderer leaves behind another dead body, as the race begins to uncover the mystery of who is behind the heinous acts. Phrases flash on the screen as images from the Amazon Prime series flash on the screen: "Different is dangerous," "Monsters are real" and "Love isn't dead."
The video ends with Philostrate reuniting with the winged faerie Vignette Stonemoss (Cara Delevingne), who he had a previous romantic relationship with. Of course, Stonemoss' idea of reuniting involves putting a knife to Philostrate's neck.
Rene Echevarria (Star Trek: The Next Generation) will serve as showrunner, while Travis Beacham (Pacific Rim) and Paul McGuigan (Victor Frankenstein) will produce the show's eight-episode first season.
Carnival Row, starring Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne, David Gyasi, Tamzin Merchant, Andrew Gower, Karla Crome, Artemas Froushan, Carolien Ford, Indira Varma, Jared Harris and Simon McBurney, premieres on Amazon Prime on Aug. 30.
