Robert Kirkman can't wait for Invincble to adapt Viltrumite antagonist Conquest into the animated series.

During Comic-Con@Home 2021, Kirkman was asked which Invincible character he's "most excited to see on the Amazon show who did not make it into Season 1," to which he immediately singled out Conquest. "I think we're all looking forward to seeing Conquest. I think we got a small glimpse of Conquest in Season 1 and hopefully we'll be seeing him very soon," Kirkman said. "I know there's a lot of tweaks to that story, a lot of enhancements to that story that I'm very excited about, that I've been cooking up and so I can't wait for that. I've also got - I think - the perfect actor in mind, but I ain't gonna say nothing, so I'm very excited about Conquest."

Conquest first appeared in Invincible #61 following the Invincible War issue, serving as a Viltrumite envoy to check in on whether Mark Grayson (Invincible) had made Earth ready for takeover. The two then fight one another, with Atom Eve later joining in. Despite Mark and Eve getting critically injured, they manage to defeat Conquest together. Though initially thought dead, Conquest would later recover and return during the "Viltrumite War" arc, where he finally met his end.

Invincible follows Mark, a high schooler who develops superpowers like his father Nolan Grayson, secretly the hero Omni-Man and a native of the alien planet, Viltrum. Adapting up to the comics' thirteenth issue, Invincible's Season 1 finale saw Omni-Man reveal to Invincible that Viltrumites are actually a race of world conquerors and he was sent to Earth to prepare the planet for its eventual takeover. Their resulting fight leads to countless cities destroyed, millions dead and Invincible critically injured, though Nolan ultimately proves unable to kill his son and instead flies off into space. Later, Mark is contacted by Allen the Alien, who warns that the rest of the Viltrumite Empire will come for Earth after hearing about Omni-Man's actions.

Invincible stars Steven Yeun as the series' main hero, with J.K. Simmons voicing his father, Omni-Man. They are joined by many vocal talents, such as Sandra Oh, Seth Rogen, Zazie Beetz, Mark Hamill and more. The series is produced by Skybound with Kirkman as an executive producer alongside Simon Racioppa, David Alpert and Catherine Winder. The entire first season is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
