Amazon has debuted a teaser trailer for Hanna, the original series based on the 2011 movie of the same name, and offered a limited window of time to see the first episode in full before the entire season is released.

The first look at the series, which is set to a haunting cover of the Smashing Pumpkins' “Bullet With Butterfly Wings” performed by Karen O, sets up its central premise: the titular character has been raised from infancy to be a lethal spy and assassin.

"You will always be underestimated, overlooked, and ignored," says Hanna's mentor over a montage of her training in an isolated forest. "Use that, and be the girl that no one saw coming."

Hanna was first imagined by director Joe Wright as a dramatic stand-alone thriller, starring Saoirse Ronan as Hanna. David Farr, who wrote the film's screenplay, is returning as a producer on the television series.

The trailer includes a link to the first episode of the series, which is available for Prime members for the 24 hours following the Super Bowl only.
