Lizze Broadway has been cast as a young superhero in Amazon's college-themed spinoff of The Boys.

According to Variety, Broadway portrays Emma on the untitled The Boys spinoff. Her previous credits include ABC's The Rookie, The Lost Boys TV movie, NBC's Chicago P.D., CBS's NCIS, Fox's Bones and TNT's Southland.

The R-rated spinoff of The Boys will take place on a superhero college campus run by Vought International. The untitled spinoff is described as "an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. Part college show, part Hunger Games -- with all the heart, satire and raunch of The Boys."

Character descriptions for The Boys' college-themed spinoff emerged earlier this month, with an "Emma" role included. Emma is described as incredibly thoughtful and kind but also hides a dark secret that she believes will drive people away if they learn about it. Her mother is also a popular Supe. Other descriptions called for "a little Black girl from the Caribbean," Asian American twins, a former Vought musical teen star and a Black sophomore with "rockstar swagger, quick wit, and a swoon-worthy smile."

A spinoff of The Boys comes from the success of the second season, which is the most-watched Amazon Original series of all time. The Boys executive producer Craig Rosenberg is writing the project from Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television in association with Point Grey Pictures, Kripke Enterprises and Original Film. The pilot is being written by Rosenberg, who will also serve as an executive producer and showrunner. Other executive producers include Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty.

Amazon Studios' The Boys stars Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hughie, Laz Alonso as Mother's Milk, Tomer Kapon as Frenchie, Karen Fukuhara as Kimiko, Erin Moriarty as Annie January, Chace Crawford as the Deep, Antony Starr as Homelander and Aya Cash as Stormfront. Seasons 3 has yet to receive a premiere date.
