The Boys will be back in town just before Labor Day.

During reunion hosted by Patton Oswalt, showrunner Eric Kripke and the cast revealed the series will return to Amazon Prime on Friday, September 4. The release date announcement arrived alongside the first three minutes of the premiere episode, which offered the first extended glimpse of Season 2.

The Boys debuted its entire first season last year on July 26, with all eight episodes hitting the streaming service at once. For Season 2, the series will drop the first three episodes on Sept. 4, and then release the remaining episodes weekly.

In Season 1, The Boys worked to take down superheroes that have been abusing their powers. This includes the Seven, Vought International's main group of superheroes: Homelander, Queen Mauve, A-Train, The Deep, Black Noir and Starlight.

Amazon Studios' The Boys stars Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hughie, Laz Alonso as Mother's Milk, Tomer Kapon as Frenchie, Karen Fukuhara as the Female, Erin Moriarty as Annie January, Chace Crawford as the Deep, Antony Starr as Homelander and Simon Pegg as Hughie's dad. The first three episodes of Season 2 will arrive on Amazon Prime on Friday, Sept 4.
