The U.K.'s Daily Mail has a series of behind-the-scenes photos from some recent Amazing Spider-Man reshoots. Most feature Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker or performing stunts in a proto-costume, but there are also a few looks at Rhys Ifans' Dr. Curt Connors and his funky hand.
We've seen Garfield in costume before, but never quite like this. The shots, taken in New York City, seem to depict Peter Parker in an early incarnation of his Spider-Man costume, which looks like one of the full-body suits created by Superfan Suits and made popular by, among others, Charlie from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Meanwhile, it appears as though Dr. Connors is either about to lose his hand or has already grown a new one from lizard DNA, as the character did in the comics before eventually turning into The Lizard. Either that or he needs a much more thorough hand-washing regiment.
Directed by Marc Webb ((500) Days Of Summer), The Amazing Spider-Man stars Garfield, Ifans, Emma Stone, Sally Field, Martin Sheen, Denis Leary and others in a retelling of the Spider-Man mythos that differs from Sam Raimi's films. The film is set for a July 3 release.
