Over the decades, no villain has proved to be more dangerous and deadly to Spider-Man and his family than the Green Goblin. Now, Norman Osborn and Peter Parker face off one more time in "Go Down Swinging" -- but there's a new Goblin in town who might prove even more deadly.

Marvel Comics has released a short trailer for writer Dan Slott and artist Stuart Immonen's next major Amazing Spider-Man storyline. The video spends most of its runtime looking back at the shared history between Spidey and his emerald-hued foe, but the end brings with it a major twist. The final seconds of the video introduces a new player to the game in the form of the Red Goblin.

While the video remains somewhat vague as to whether the Red Goblin will prove to be friend or foe, the text introducing him -- "And if that doesn't scare you enough" -- would indicate he doesn't have Spidey's best interests in mind.

“The last time we saw the Green Goblin was in ‘Goblin Nation’ at the culmination of Superior Spider-Man” Spider-Editor Nick Lowe said in a statement. “You’d almost think that was the biggest Green Goblin story Dan Slott had in him. You’d be wrong.”

"Go Down Swinging," by Dan Slott and Stuart Immonen, with cover art by Alex Ross, kicks off in March 2018's Amazing Spider-Man #797.
