Written by Stan Lee and illustrated by Steve Ditko, Amazing Spider-Man began publication in 1963. Since then, the titular hero has become one of the most important characters in the Marvel Universe, with many of the publisher's biggest stories involving Peter Parker in some way. With Amazing Spider-Man #49, the beloved series will reach 850 issues, and Marvel Comics has given CBR an exclusive preview of the book.
